I've replaced a couple having worked for a NHPC and like you said it is just a 'noise' and don't effect how it drives at all. There not a nice job to do at all. We had a couple come in with big power from litchfield and what a difference the Y Pipe mod makes!
To be honest I was expecting it to take a lot longer. The casting on the right in the pic which mounts the lower bearing wasn't required as the issue was the upper ball joint which had shocking amounts of play, I just changed both for good practice. Tbh I couldn't believe how easy everything...
Basically you change the ABS ring seperately by heating it up to remove. The job can be done in place, any good garage should be able to take on this job with no problems. No need to take it to a main dealer i wouldn't pay more than £80 all incl.
Afternoon all, just replaced the N/S/F Upper ball joint And bearing flange carrier also known as a Swivel Hub assembly on a friends 197 this morning, the whole job took about 2hrs start to finish, never changed one before and it was no stress. No special tools required so who ever is familiar...
Also have the added advantage of being a High Performance Center which means i get to play with the GTR
To be honest mate i would leave her how she is...she has subtle mods and that is all it needs. A Meggy Turbo engine would ace tho!
I did my apprenticeship with Nissan and we were a Renault dealership also so was conveniant for parts etc. Renault have since moved on but still working for Nissan, they seem to be more of a Renault at the moment tho lol.
Your 200 looks much more "****" with black wheels
You have certainly added tasteful engine modifications mate its totally different to what we are all used to, even for someone like myself who works for Nissan i have never seen anything like this in my life lol. Good project tho buddy, keep up the good work.
This is probably the case, we use the same Family of Gearbox's in the Nissan Micra and Note its extremly common thing to happen, remove the end casing and re-tighten the Nut on the end of the Input shaft.
Hope you get it sorted and it is as simple as this.
Yeah I've been looking at the power flex bushes but just didn't want any extra vibration in the car, what are they like? i want it sat nice and tight against the bumper cut outs. Be great if you could get me a pic mate :)
Hi guys, I've recently fitted a Milltek system to the clio and to be honest I'm abit anal about how it sits in the bumper cut outs, at current I'm not to happy with how it is sat and was wondering if a couple of you could put some pics up of your 182's with Milltek Cat Backs.
Cheers,
Owen.
