Was looking on MOT history site and saw my old 182 Cup is still alive - wondering if anyone on here has it now? I think it'll have passed through a few hands now perhaps.
Was previously owned by Tim Harvey's wife (of BTCC fame.)
See when you say bigger disk in the first post thats the main difference. Will a car with a bigger disk have the ability to stop faster - yes. Example my Polo with 239mm disks could only lock a wheel in the dry at say 40mph on good tyres. With the 256mm disks you could lock them up at over...
My point was that if you want a longer 5th that'd be easier but...
How does the 6th comapre to the 5th? Is it longer or is it the same and the extra gear is just packed in, so intermediate ratios are shorter. Lupo GTi is like this.
Also the amount you'd spend doing it will be nowhere near...
I've just recieved my light weight battery to replace my flat OE one...lasted 9 years, not bad!
Just wondering if anyone has any tips for fitting it in the engine bay, on it's side, mounted to the gear box mount? Before I go and reinvent the wheel.
I found a good guide on fitting it in the...

Issue: car won't start. Starter motor fires rapidly like a machine gun. All lights turn off. Doesn't even try to crank.
Background: fitted new brakes today and drivers drive shaft yesterday. Only electrical connection I've been near is unplugging brake resivoir...
That's about right...mine sits and bounces between 90-99% if I look at it and move the mouse with only this open.
If you want it looked at in person the you might have an Apple store near by you could take it to. Book an appointment at the Genius bar and they should have 15 mins or so to check...
Open activity monitor by going to the magnifying glass in the top right if your screen. Type in activity monitor. Open it. Look at CPU load and see if there is an application that's running it flat out or take a screen shot and post it here for me to look at.
Add spring rate, not roll bar stiffness.
My Polo has a pretty hefty roll bar on the front due to it making up half of the wishbone (it joins a track control arm to triangulate). Car has the habit of lifting the inside wheel or certainly unloading it heavily. So you can get quite a lot of...
I can't see the link but thought I'd comment anyhow. Last year at Knockhill there was a Mondeo V6 (when they were blue), Cleland's white Cavalier with gold BBS yum and one of the late Honda Accords doing demo laps. It was amazing to see....then two of them clipped each other :o
Mackie Motors in Brechin, Scotland expect a demo car week 6 2014...
They aren't a Renault Sport dealer, but have had RS26R in before and some other cool bits of kit. Sat in a Dynamique and was impressed. LOADS of room in front, back and boot. Looked good too with the options they'd spec'd...
Alreet,
I've got Clio booked in for a track day and to make things a little bit easier on me I'd like to fit the Recaro SPG (thinner Pole Position) from my Polo Hillclimb car.
I'm looking for solid answers for the following:
Subframe I can bolt into car and bolt onto side mounted Recaro
How...
I believe so. Had them out for a proper hot run the other day, still great even in the dry. Scotland being Scotland they were great on the way home...in a down pour!
Required a proper replacement for Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's? Then try Hankook Ventus S1 EVO. Price, great. Dry grip, great. Wet grip, great.
EVO Magazine gave them a good review to boot!
The P Zero Nero's I had before weren't bad but they were a little dead feeling off centre and didn't...
It's not a case if it being s**t it's the fact that the external diameter of the joining pipe is 58mm and internal diameter of the centre box 62mm, that's a difference of 4mm.
So I had the rear wheel bearing replaced when Renault replaced my rear disks. After a few weeks one of the bearings started to whine and needed replaced under warranty. A couple of months later it failed again and needed replaced. Here we are a few weeks later and the whine has returned...
