I've got one of the Pioneer units installed in my car. Interface is really nice and a cheap way to gain integrated phone, text and sat nav.
Apple maps picks up on things mentioned in text messages and search history, so usually knows where you want to go without even telling it, which is...
I'm looking to buy a polish / sealant combo, and am stuck between 3 choices.
I have come down to the following choices.
AF Tough Prep + AF Tough Coat
AF Tripple + AF Tough Coat
Gtechniq P1 + Gtechniq C2V3
I will be polishing by hand, although I am considering borrowing a friends DA - if this is...
Got a 2006 Facelift SE in black. 2.0l engine - I'm only 21 so trying to keep insurance down, but power is plenty for me coming from a Mini Cooper and still sounds awesome!
So far I have put black grilles and a ZHP gear knob - the standard one is a horrible shape to use. Also waiting for private...
Very nice... this thread is one of the reasons I have just bought one :)
Where did you put your AUX in? I have a cable on its way, still unsure where to put it. I think it will be going on the panel underneath the heater controls though.
I got mine yesterday, love it. So nice to use, sometimes my old iPad just felt big and heavy where as this is so thin and light. As said, you need to see one in the flesh, as I was still unsure after ordering but wanted to make sure I got one.
I sold my 27 inch iMac for a 13" Air and haven't regretted it once. For what I use it for, it actually seems faster due to the SSD despite the lower processor power. Brilliant machine.
Just updated after getting fed up with waiting for Apple to send my up to date code through. Got £70 free with my Macbook Air anyway, so was still free in a way. Seems very snappy and I like the new dock. Hopefully explore a few more of the features over the weekend.
Cant really tell you the best solution without seeing the current code, but if there is a click event on the links in the dropdown that looks something like below;
$('.dropdownlink').click(function(){
// do your function
});
Then just add in 2 little things so it looks like this (e in the...
That's the thing though - I don't put mine through anything mega intensive - 90% of the time I am browsing the web or coding in Sublime which is super lightweight. I use photoshop every now and them to put a design together, but that's it!. An air would probably be better with the speedy SSD for me
Anyone else looked on the store- few new 'silent' products. iPad smart case (all round protection) redesigned Airport Express. The Mac Pros have a new tag too - must have had a boost of specs.
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
Aparent leaked photos of phototype parts - looks nice, although I have my doubts over how real they are

Our house got struck a few years ago when we were away on holiday and fried pretty much everything. House insurance replaced it all, nice chance to upgrade everything!
CleanMyMac, I run it weekly and it has currently cleared about 30GB of crap! CCleaner was always good on my old PC, but I havent tried it on the Mac since spotting it in the App Store.
I'm looking at getting one, but more for extending the wireless network in my house, as strength on one side of my house is shocking. I don't suppose you are using it for that?
It mentions it on the website, but not sure if it will work with my standard plusnet router.
Re: which is the best deal - Apple Mac's
I wouldnt buy one from PC world, purely down to the chance of being given an 'older' model unknowingly.
Take a look at the Apple refurb store, will probably get a better deal too http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/specialdeals/mac
I think the output from the headphone jack can be digital, if used with the right cable, not sure if this equates to 5.1 though?
You may also be able to get a USB adapter?
Its going in on Thursday, hopefully to have the display replaced. They have told me it should only be in for 24 - 48 hours. Looks like I'll be coding on the iPad for a few nights!
Nope 27" :(
Going to ring the store tomorrow and see what they say. Don't want to lumber it over there for no reason! It's one of them things that is very minor, but you can't help but notice.
I have had my iMac for about 7 months now, and I have noticed 2 'defects' on the display, one of them very recently.
When I first received it, I noticed on a pure black screen there is a very faint blue mark in the middle. However, it isn't visible in any other conditions, so I let it be.
Now...
My interior light was always on dimly when I put an LED one in. I just presumed that because it was LED, and required so little power to light, that the tiny amount of current running through it was enough to make it glow slightly. Should be fine :)
