I can no longer attend. I'm riding the Manchester 100 instead. Sorry.

Rolling road meet at EFi Parts

I'd be tempted for this as they'll do RWD too, and i'd be interested to see if the BMW is making book.

Awesome footage, I'd forgotten about that turbo'd van. It cornered pretty flat too!

Great weekend. Met a bunch of nice, genuine people and had a throughly good time. Shattered now and have had to put my tent back up in the garden to dry it out but I'm glad I made the effort to go to my first CSS. Massive kudos to the organisers, top job, thanks very much.

I know we get a meal voucher on the Saturday and something from the BBQ Saturday night but is everyone just stocking up on junk food other than that? Are we allowed throw away BBQs? Local kebab delivery maybe haha.

PM'd Nik. Never been to CSS. Never been to a meet and have only actually met about 5 people off the forum in real life, I'm sure you're all a nice bunch.

Ok so now all tickets in advance are done and I'm very late to the party is my only option pay on the day, and if so, earlier in the thread it mentions a limited number of camping places available on the day too. Can I bag myself one of these? Who do I need to speak to? I'm North West based...

    iPhone 6 thread.

I'm on my 6 now, must admit I'm pleased with it. Decent upgrade over my previous 5.

    iPhone 6 thread.

I was lucky I got a good North East Geordie guy straight away in retentions and we were just honest with each other, he knew I'd sign for a decent deal so there was no messing about.

    iPhone 6 thread.

No mess up really. Phoned up to get the best SIM only deal as was originally set in buying the phone direct from Apple for £619 and then £10-15p/m sim only. Their SIM only offer was a bit gash so just asked about contracts, all the 2 year ones were rubbish but this 12 month one is cheaper...

    iPhone 6 thread.

Finally upgraded. 6, 64Gb, Unlimited Texts & Calls, 4Gb 4G Data. £59.00 a month on a 12 month contract, £40 up front. Can upgrade/downgrade to Sim only after 9 months so need to be hot on that. Works out at 9 x 59 + 40 + (3 x 15 for Sim only for eg) = £616 for 12 months. The phone itself is...

Is there anywhere cheaper than direct from Apple for a sim free 6 64gb at £619?

    Ash's Edition 30

Looks like the 310. Yes, everything will still work, and heating control display changes will show briefly on the new unit screen (like when you turn your heated seats on etc) steering wheel controls, Bluetooth etc will all work. It's literally plug and play... This was mine before and after....

    Ash's Edition 30

Straight swap, assuming you have the 310 unit now? All you'll need is an RNS510 and a gps antenna which you can house under the dash. No additional wiring the existing block connector goes direct to the RNS510. I swapped mine out in my previous MK6 and it took me like 15 mins and that was me...

    iPhone washing machine problem. Fixable?

Rice works. When I spilt water on my 5 I turned it off straight away and threw it in the airing cupboard for about 5 hours, no better, in that time I read a few possible fixes, one was rice, the idea was, turn phone on, max screen brightness, disable auto lock and get it on charge, in a bag of...

Ah yes so you did, and my steering wheel :) Pro Nav is awesome as you get the new idrive too which you can write on say dial a number or input a postcode you can scribble it on the pad.

I really like the red leather, I've got black in my 125d (white, 3dr) but red would have been my choice had I bought new. There's a thread of mine on here, have only had mine for a week, take a look.

    BMW F21 125d M Sport

I had my GTD remapped to around 200Bhp & 350 Lb/Ft so that made that alot better but the tyres struggled with the extra power. This has the same torque but more bhp (218) and being RWD naturally has better traction. The biggest difference is however the gearbox, GTD was manual where as this is...

Yep it's a twin scroll single turbo. The power band, well for a diesel anyway, is quite wide.

    BMW F21 125d M Sport

That's correct, discount takes you down to mid 31's and then with the delivery charge BMW charge and the other on the road costs it was just over 32 for a brand new one in spec. Even taking that into account I'm still happy in the saving I made.

    BMW F21 125d M Sport

I think the new wheel with smaller air bag was only added mid 2014? I could see how the old wheel would block the view of some of the black panel with the airbag unit being larger. I know what you mean about the pricing, this fully specced up brand new would have been £36,600!

    BMW F21 125d M Sport

I know I'm only in the early days of ownership but as this is my first semi auto I'm using the paddles as much as I can on shorter journeys. However I drove it most of the way home in full auto as that was 160 miles. Sports Auto is also good as it still changes for you but revs much higher than...

    BMW F21 125d M Sport

Famous last words of course, but it's under warranty for a while yet if anything goes wrong. My golf was remapped and whilst it was faster the mk6 chassis wasn't great at handling the extra power, too much spinning up. However this is a BM so being RWD will obviously help. It's something I will...
