Smaller wheels quicker acceleration and less top end.
Bigger wheels slower acceleration and better top end, but i find more clumsy handling.
The difference is very minor though.
Get it changed asap or the bearing will jam itself in the hub and then its new hub time i had this with my R5. Easy job to do yourself just take the hub assembly off buy a bearing and get a garage to press out the old and press in a new bearing should cost £10 for the pressing in and out. If you...
As above please peeps where would you advise i bought one from? im not after a pro super expencive jobby just a budget style one that will do the job.
also what attatchments and polishes would you recomend for a car with bad oxidisation and swirls all over (crappy condition paint) and where...
I have 195/45/15's on my RSi and it does tramline a bit but handles really well get your tracking done and get the wheels balanced as said in an earlyer post.
right then i would like to pick the brains of you more knowledgeable folk, and see if we can come up with a list of parts that will fit onto or upgrade the RSi as i see lots of valvers being broken but no RSi's. Looking for mainly engine components and running gear / brakes swaps.
Thanks
Steve

Any one with any tips for removal and refiting of a rear wheel bearing at home please its for a 94 clio rsi disc's on rear. Also is it roughly the same process for the fronts or are they a little more tricky?
Thanks in advance
Steve
Clio RSi alloys are cheap as are the tyres, my car has these wheels on and its lowered all round i have 185/60's on them and seem to do ok and grip well. you can get a set of alloys for about £50 on ebay.
Ok just watched the first clip and all i can say is ohhh f@#k he was ok to start with then he was just riding beyond his limits. Still getting my CBR though.
The problem with bikers is that there are to many idiots driving cars, the majority of bikers are very good and safe, just take's a minority to spoil our reputation. Same with car drivers you get good and friggin stupid ones that think just because they are in a metal shell they are safe, whats...
FM-AVA - Totally agree with what you have just said, I love bikes and im about to get myself a new one after a few years of not riding i cant wait im getting a CBR400 to break myself in gently again. so forgive me for not watching the clips as it may put me off.
All that stuff seems to do is to up the octane level in the fuel, just use a decent petrol like optimax. If you overdose your car on additive you will higher the ron rating of the fuel to much and do damage to your engine. super unleaded is about 95 Ron i think thats plenty good enough. Ohh...
wise words above soak in wd40 or the like the day before. I just changed a ball joint on my clio didnt soak it and what a git that was i ended up using a nut splitter to undo the two bolts that hold it to the wishbone. job took about an hour no need to take the hub off as said before. Nice easy...
Still gonna cost a bit though surely as you will need better brakes and a bottom end rebuild to make sure its all upto handling the power increase. and then you will need suspension upgrades. If you have all that already or can get it free then go for it but this will cost serious money i bet...
Here you go this one deffo works.

The bloke who wrote this knows his renaults and is the guide i used to lower my R5.
You will need to adjust the torsion bar to raise or lower the arse end of your car not a hard job to do really took me about 2 hours on my r5. there are some guides about on how to do this somewhere, i will have a look for you.
cheers guys any comments welcome and also if you can see any faults with the car please point em out as i sure as hell cant see any apart from the years worth of grime and rubbish all over it. plus yes the wheels need a refurb if i wanted to keep em.
