Is it worth taking this bit out to check it? Or will it just be buggered and thats that? Is there any other way to diagnose? I read that sometimes you get the lower speeds but not the higher speeds when the resistor pack fails is this true?

2004 Clio with Climate Control. The Climate panel all works as it should, but the fan itself doesn't come on. I've checked the fuses and had the trim off where the motor sits to check for obvious problems, but can't find anything (it's dark so couldn't have a proper look). Any known problems...

Has anyone ever heard of a Clio cambelt being a tooth out (either having been incorrectly fitted at the factory or having actually jumped a tooth?). The car has never had a cambelt change. Also, are the 1.4 16v engines from around 2003-2004 on Hydraulic tappets?

What sort of fuel economy figures do you guys get from your Clio's? Post here even if it's not a 1.4. Our's is very sensibly driven and really struggles to make 30mpg. OK, so its mostly driven around town, but even on a run, 35mpg is extremely rare. My 350bhp RST is almost as economical...

The bolt hole at the larger end of the mount (the one that goes to the chassis) appeared to be keyhole shaped on the 172/182 mount and not big enough to take the bolt that mine has, according to the pics above. I wish I could find a pic of it.

Infact I can do better than that..... Here is the one I have now..... Here is the one they say my car should have..... The 172/182 mount I cannot find a picture of, but it appears to still be a twisted mount, but doesn't really look that much of an improvement over the one above and...

OK, so it's the twisted mount that I need. The problem is, the 172/182 mount is twisted, so is the other one they showed me. However the 172/182 one has a different bolt-hole arrangement for where it bolts to the chassis. Anyone know about that? :)

Having spoken to my local Renault dealer, they have shown me 2 mounts. One which they say is a 172 mount and the other is what they say my car should have. Neither look like what I do have!! The one that I apparently should have looks like it is made from Alloy and is twisted and looks more...
