I've read the oem torque-setting on this on is 44NM (?) The OEM mount had a "square" hole where the engine-part of the mount would precisely slide/fit over.. The Vibratechnics has a round hole, with room for play : the bolt has movement in it even when tightened up. I can see metal shaving...

I've stripped some weight off of the Cup, it weighs around 960kg with driver. (weighed it on a truck-weightstation)
It's modified to around 200bhp. I have found, with the Cup box, the short 1st gear almost always "useless". With all the wheelspin and knocking when hitting it just a tad bit...
Hard or gentle ? I had instructions not to take it over 5000 rpm for the first 1000+ km's , and i stuck to it (as hard as that is..) . I did however let the engine really work hard up to these 5000rpm , on every level. Very fluctuating rpm's, pushing it hard through different rev ranges...

As my engine is even more damaged as we thought before, we're about to put in a completely overhauled Ph1 engine. I'm wanting to go the Schrick route on this engine.

I've done the leads and coilpack, seemed to benefit from this but the misfire/stuttering has come back. The battery is very old , had it checked and the measure-device said "replace, bad battery"

Has been done and discussed before, but there is a seller on Ebay which sells the pulleyset/bracket and belt to bypass the powersteeringpump , and then just uses the 172 rack .. I asked him about this, reply here :

Got myself a new camera and went for a spin tonight to see how it does; some on-board filming. Turn up the sound and find out how a 5 year old K-tec Stealth exhaust sounds. (made by Tiger (?), one of the early ones ?) It does seem to get more "boomy" this last year.

Quite easy to install, solid feeling gearchanges are the result, far less play in the stick than before (when it felt like stirring through a pan of thick soup) . Real happy with it + the price is incredible for such a nice product .. bargain ; recommended !! :)...

ACTUALLY.... this is what i did to make the car feel like a brand new one ! ;
Inner + outer trackrod/ends , lower balljoints , new set of tyres (Michelin PE2's; excellent tyre) , new laser-alignement/tracking
I forgot to mention the new enginemounts (all round) which i did not too long...
