Anyone know what you would call or be able to get the part number for the hard metal coolant pipe that runs from the front of the block, its the megane block but I think the 197s have the same pipe
The silver pipe you can see in engine dynamics pic where their logo is
Bit of a strange one, recently from cold the 197 has a squeal / screech noise that rises with revs when the clutch pedal is pushed in. Makes a little of the same noise when its in gear and driving up the revs slowly. Seems to disappear or get too high pitched to hear after 2k revs or so and...
What would the symptoms of a diff going be? Its on the 197 and under load the steering wheel is shaking side to side and the car is shaking somewhat too, though it will disappear eventually if you continue to accelerate and even at motorway speeds it seems settled fine.
Not sure if it might be...
I'm looking at the engine from an interior fire damaged r26 f1 team
Anyone shed some light as to the potential issues I might have using an engine from a car that has fire damage, the electrics and wiring etc are obviously un-usable but i'm thinking the engine block itself?

As above, couldn't really be bothered trying to find or use a ph1 stalk horn when I can just use the one from the omp wheel.
I also don't want the wheel to go up in flames like James' so looking to wire straight to the horn button so just need to know what wire it is, colour/pin or whatever...

I know the 3 series one has been used but nothing about in my local scrappies currently and i'm not sure if bmw parts department are anything like ours wanting part numbers or they're useless.

More a question for the engine im stripping down currently but unlike the renault cambelt tensioner this doesn't have the slot so you know that it has been tensioned to the right amount
How are you supposed to know when it has been tensioned enough? The engine had belt slip and 8 valves bend...
Anybody know if they are the same? The local motorfactors has told me it is but I said I'd rather make sure of a statement like that.

As above anything that you could check or look for, I'm getting a bad misfire and isn't plugs, leads don't seem to make a difference and it's not affecting it too much so doubt coilpack
Never really noticed too much oil in my catch tank but there is a sort of clear liquid that is ridiculously potent.
Any ideas what this by product is? I presume nothing to worry about anyway
