I’m looking to start using Autodesk Inventor.
I’m looking to use it on a laptop.
would anyone have any recommendations which to buy ?
Im only using it for simple designs of upto 10 parts per program.
I won’t need to run many other windows at the same time.
Any help greatly appreciated
Jon
I can now offer a solution to the problem associated when fitting the Recaro CS seats from 197/200 into a MK2 Clio,or other vehicle.
The original seat frame assembly on the 197 stands very tall making it difficult to fit in other cars.
The standard seat frame assembly is also a structural part...
Been a while since I’ve done any work on my VBD Seat frames to help fit 197/200 Recaro CS seats into a 172 etc.
I’ve designed a replacement frame that bolts the base and seat back together.
This allows you to remove the heavy and very high position original frame found when fitted in the Mk3...
The girlfriends replacement for the 140 arrived today.
Black M2,nicknamed “BatMobile” from my son upon seeing it.
She’s not driven it yet as I thought I’d do the gentlemanly thing and offer to drive it home ;)
Spec is;
HK sound
Privacy glass
Folding mirrors
Elec seats
Heated seats...
The plug in endoscopes for phones are now really cheap.
Has anyone experienced one on an iPhone?
Would be useful on Car restorations we work on to find hidden rot etc.
eBay is a wash with them around £15-20 which seems a bargain.

Over the past few years I've been asked quite a few times about fitting the Recaro CS seats found in the 197/200 into Clio MK2.
Up until recently I'd never seen a set removed from a car to really understand in detail what kind of job it is.
I've now got a set of 197 runners and subframe...
Picked up the M140i we ordered a few months back tonight.
My mate took us to Halliwell Jones in Chester in his old Fiat
It's my girlfriends car but she was good enough to let me drive home.
We're planning on getting a few hours behind the wheel tomorrow so she can familiarise herself with the...
I'm looking for a wireless printer to use with iPhones.
I've never had any luck with wired printers on PC or laptop, end up with lots of unprinted documents that I can't seem to get shut of.
Needs to be easy to use and quite compact if that's possible.
Cheers
Pulled it out for a quick clean today.Been sat since August so was pretty dirty.
Lads of jobs to do before I get to use it,hopefully the next few months should see it ready.

Lowered seat adaptors for Recaro Trendline etc
I've been meaning to design these for quite a while but kept getting sidetracked. Now with a bit of a push from a few fellow members I've managed to get some prototypes.
Ive designed them to be a direct replacement for existing Recaro adaptors.
I...
I'm looking for some good fitting panels for a 255 shape V6 Clio.
I've been told originals are thin on the ground and mighty expensive so what are people using ?
Cheers
I managed to find an interesting collection of early Renault Sport literature today.
It starts around 93 with the first Clio and documents Grp n & Grp A builds and parts list with prices.
There is also some Clio Maxi and S1600 information.
The latest booklets I have are from the Ph1 Clio 172 Grp...
Popped in to my mates place today to see his latest project.
He bought the E6 rallycar last year with the intention of making something a little different.
Straight after Christmas he took the grinder to it and chopped it in half.
Some pics of how it started.
How it sits today.
And it's...
Noticed these Kevlar looking Recaro seats on EBay and originally thought they were too far away to pick up, turns out they were only 80 miles away, had a bid on them and won, collected today and can honestly say they look amazing in my opinion
done a little net search and turns out they only...
Popped over with a mate for an hour this afternoon, only grabbed a few pics but was surprised at how many Renaults were there.
all going well on track too and sounding awesome

I've only owned this for a short while but it was filthy when I collected it and after fitting the Speedlines last week I decided to give it a little wash before a blast out for half an hour

I recently bought a 172 on standard dampers with what I was told Eibach pro line springs, there was a receipt with them as well as the new dampers from Renault,my question is are these springs all marked with the logo etc ?
these don't have any markings from what I can see
anyone able to shed any...
Thought I would share a few pics of my Renault history.
first car in 1989,can remember being quite happy driving my parents Toyota Corollas, this car changed all that, must have spent about. 6 hours a night behind the wheel...just for the hell of it.
kept that one for around 18 months and...
Picked up my new Clio today from Glasgow, didn't realise how noisy it would be on the 200 mile trip back,a mix of no interior, whining from the box but most of all the exhaust,it's a group N Oreca system, ear defenders are on my list next week ,had to do with ripped up baby wipes driven into my lug...
After going to pick this up last Tuesday with my mate I thought I would share a few pics I've taken today.
Freshly MOT,d and ready to be registered next week,he has given it a wash and light polish since coming from Japan, mainly standard apart from exhaust and wheels.
he is collecting the...
