    Acid rust removal

Ant idea how this would react with car paint? Like if you wanted to use it in some very small localised rust spots?

Another car gone, and one bought. X5 3.0d.

I don’t follow? Surely the weight limit is the limit regardless of why you are towing it? That X5 can tow 2700kg inc trailer weight? You wont be getting a Range Rover on there within that limit? Or am i missing something?

Not with that tow car/trailer combo he wont (you'd hope!), unless he fancies getting tugged by the po-po!

    Power Tool Perverts

Ok guys, point taken, bigger is always better! Next question then is do I pay an extra £14 for the Detent Pin version (DTW701Z) over the one with the "Hod ring", I have only ever used detent pin wrenches and feel this is quite useful?

    Power Tool Perverts

I need some advice from all you perverts, I am looking to get myself an impact wrench (should have bought one years ago) and as much as I love the look of the Milwaukee stuff I already own multiple Makita 18v batteries/chargers so it seems the most sensible(cheapest) way to go. I have looked at...

    The new tool thread

Yeah i did see that difference but i like to t**t spanners with lump hammers when necessary and i couldn’t see the ratchet mechanism liking that! 😂. I’ll just buy a cheapo set or aldi/lidl ratchet spanners for light work and have the best of both worlds. The flexi-joints i don’t care about, I...

    Trolley Jacks 2021

They do the job but they are made cheap! I have had 2 fail, just today i splashed out £96 (with trade card) for their advanced one. Not used it yet but the reviews tell you all you need to know. Find someone with a trade card and buy once 👍🏼

    The new tool thread

Got a bit carried away earlier and spent nearly £400 on some new kit from halfords with the trusty trade card. I bought the 175pc advanced socket/spanner set (200pc was £70 more and doesnt have anything extra i would need/don't already have), also the small 28pc advanced AF/imperial socket set...

So i changed my mind! Decided I wanted to fit a camera to the rear of mums house so i ordered the battery doorbell instead which comes with the hub and i added a single camera to the order. Massive discounts on amazon right now so i got it all for £215.

    Ring Doorbell

i have ordered the wired version so no base station, data stored in the doorbell. I think my mum would struggle to change the batteries 😂

    Ring Doorbell

After lots of youtube review watching I just ordered this... Hopefully be able to connect to original bell too!
  25. Paddy_g46

    Ring Doorbell

Does it store video footage? On a cloud type thing? Does it need a base station at all?
  26. Paddy_g46

    Ring Doorbell

Forgot to say I don't want to have to pay any subscriptions! My mum has neither, so not fussed either way!
  27. Paddy_g46

    Ring Doorbell

Bump on this, I am looking for a bell that can be hard wired as i have existing wiring there. Budget not an issue just want something that will be reliable and not lag like others have mentioned?

Recommend a Valeter/Detailer. East Midlands or close by?

Just bought an E39 and would like to get it thoroughly cleaned inside and out, leather treated, maybe machine polished/waxed etc. It's by no means in bad shape but for me cleaning a car normally involves £5 and a disused petrol station! I am based in Coventry, but willing to travel, can anyone...
