Re: Lowest mileage PH1?
I think I remember seeing this one sitting at JMS when mine was there. Mines around 31K now, I can't remember the exact mileage.
You seem surprisingly chirpy/blase about your car catching fire whilst just sitting there having an emmissions test. Does it not worry you that it might happen again?
I owned a FF 182 with Recaros for a few years. I now own a 172 ph1 as a second car/track toy. I can honestly say the ph1 is a much more fun car to drive, just feels more lively and more engaging to drive.
I dare say the 182 was the more comfortable more refined drive, but thats not why you buy...
Just strip what you already have. It's a Clio at the end of the day and worth peanuts whether it's 'mint' or a high mileage shed.
FWIW I had my 25k mile mint phase 1 about 2 weeks before I set about ripping it apart. :)
You balance a car on the throttle, you never go into a corner completely off the gas, unless you are a fan of lift off oversteer, so I guess this will have an affect. Granted the power delivery is linear, so its easy to balance, but without a diff, it's not going to be the best car to pull you...

A good friend of mine is selling his Clio cup. He wants a quick painless sale, hence the bargain price.
Car has a small issue which I'm sure some of you on here can diagnose better than I can (described in advert), but other than that the car is...
When some lovely gentleman (c**t) decided to forget to brake into my M6, the terms of the insurance were a like for like replacement. Because this was going to cost the insurer a fair whack, they offered me a £400 lump sum and a VW Golf size car instead. I accepted :)
Christ you make it sound like you are taming a wild rwd beast that could step out on you at any given moment. People rotate tyres front to back to get the most life out of them, it's as simple as that. You will do well to notice any difference at all between a couple of mm tread depth unless you...
Lol, I expect you to wring the neck of this 182 and get the most out of it, more so than Dave managed anyway ;) I still expect there to be a pretty noticable gap between this and the likes of Ollie and myself. I hope so anyway :)
I can't help thinking you may find it a tad frustrating with it...
Laura, take a quick look at this thread...

I've literally been up to my eyeballs in work so haven't advertised it properly anywhere, but it's just sitting at home, new in the box. Make me an offer if you...
If you're coming on the Jublee it's even easier. Come out the entrance with the looong escalators pointing out to the sky (you'll know what I mean when you see them). Then look right, you can't miss it.
Rob, you're right, you have. Are any of the other pizza boys (you know who I mean) coming over this way?
For those of you who think they'll get lost, look up and find the tall building with the pointy roof. You'll be close. Oh and the bar has a ticker above it making it nice and easy to spot.
Chaps, All Bar One is a stones throw from my office so might well be in there have a couple of swift halves myself.
I should hopefully spot you high rollers trying to pick up women by flashing your Clio keys on the bar ;)
I put a Whiteline ARB on my ph1 172 after having my AST's on and noticed no difference whatsoever tbh. I am running a very stiff rear end though, can't remember spring rates off the top of my head, but 500 seems to ring a bell.
God knows why I recognised it! I've lived that way all my life though. Strangely, a few mates and I also always used to use the road just opposite where you are (the one up to the girls school) to take a few pics and to time our 0-60's. The kind of things u do when your 17/18 of course :)
From me personally (IT Contractor) if I see a job advertised, I will contact my prefered agencies of choice and see if they also have that job listed. I personally think its worth sticking to 3 or 4 of the bigger, more recognised agencies and always applying via them. Some of the bigger...
Great Video, can't help but be impressed by the GTR and the 1M for not being completely embarrassed by some bigger machinery.
For me I would have the GT3 RS all day long.
