I see, I was planning on going for the JMS intake at the time they were being planned, but then went for the FRS so didn't bother in the end, they seem to be a good enough mod.
You are right, I would absolutely have a super car among other things if I won the lottery, there is no doubt about it.
Its good to see long time members like BenP etc. coming back and sharing their current impressive motors with the forum, fantastic to see them owning their dream cars.
What I...
If its a Clio you want I don't think you could get better than a ph1 172 if you are on a budget.
Its not going to be any less reliable than a 1.2 thrashed within an inch of its life around a track
I think what you said about which you would look it is exactly the point i am making! No one would expect a clio to be able to match the pace of an R8 let alone edge ahead of it!! For someone who needs a fancy car to feel better about themselves and they have the money go ahead. But for fun the...
Don't waste your time and money tracking a 1. anything clio!!!
Why not buy a standard renaultsport, or even a valver which will have better brakes and suspension as standard.
Just take it easy to start with, even loosen off the throttle or put something under the pedal if you are worried about...
Forgot to say running standard turbo atm.
Had planned on possibly a hybrid turbo at some stage, but love the way the car drives as it is, so will stay for now.
Turning my attentions on another project, which driveability wont be an issue.....
Think the Focus would be my favourite car iv owned to...
You obviously know nothing about fast cars, would you say the same to those who modify their GTR's, Porsche 's and lambo's to 2,000hp + ? What production cars are available faster?
Putting them in their box, or deflating their swelled head or whatever way you want to think of it, I would assume that the driver would have expected to leave the clio for stopped. I would be fairly certain that it would have been quite the kick in the teeth.
Of course I am thinking from a...
More to the point, imagine yourself buying your expensive 'fast' car to show off and get roasted by 'a little clio' just brilliant.
No one will argue the r8 isn't a very impressive car, but it's nice to put them in their box from time to time
Go for it next time you get the chance! You won't regret it! As you can see from the start date of thread iv had it since 09 and before I had been changing my main cars every few months! At just shy of 300 ponies I think it's plenty for the driving I do and still economic.
Sorry never got round to posting the pics, back in the garage but will be out soon for a little project I have planned for it,
I am missing the Trophy so much these days, especially after seeing a pic of my old one and the owner didn't care for it as he promised he would!!
