So in the past year ive been mega busy with every day life, lots of work on the house, had a kid, caned in lots of hours at work, days out with the family.. all that jazz.
To be completely honest, the Clio has been pushed to the side for the most part..
Anyhoo! Ive had a brand new exhaust...
MAP sensor is getting replaced tonight - hopefully stop the car running lean!
Torn through 3 o2 sensors on 2 weeks
Brakes need replaced.
Drop links need replaced.
Caught air on a hill crest and now i need an alignment after a severe b-road bash... this past month has been a success after acting...
GT side skirts have been put on... thats literally all i have to update on at the moment 😬
Oh, i have a new set of headlights in which have a black bezel too! But i havent gotten any pictures of that yet..
I need to give it a full wash and get some photos taken as ive not been out for a drive...
Matts look quite good, better than i thought they would tbh
Springs are fine, no issues whatsoever, had tge car up in the air and everything and theyre still there so theyre defo seated properly 🤙
Well the last time it happened i was listening to music whilst cleaning the interior but the headlights were on and i never noticed coz it was during the day.
Ill have a look at it anyway bud
I have accidentally run the battery flat a couple of times before this and only charged it enoygh so the car would start back up so it could be from that but who knows
Connected the leads to the battery and left it for a while before trying to start it.
No immobiliser lights on at al, just the electrical fault light which is only on if the jump leads arent on the battery which is strange...
No. Tried that. Im waiting on a starter motor turning up at a local garage so i can go pick it up with a battery they have in stock then i can have a bash at it and get the car going again.
Yes theres oil in it, i check that regularly, its 3/4 full last i checked.
The motor factors opens on 5 minutes so ill het on the phone to them and get a new battery and starter.
Im more confident its 1 of the 2 now after speaking to you lads on here.
Dont have a multimeter unfortunately, i really should invest in one for all they do cost and i dont have another battery.
I do have a fast charger for a battery, ill try and hook that up, if no joy then ill replace the battery instead. If that doesnt help then ill try changing the starter...
Theres no lights on the dash and the starter clicks but doesnt turn the car over.
Im thinking either the battery is too dead to give the starter enough power, or the starter motor is dead or maybe the coilpack and leads need changing.
Whats your thoughts?
I have a 2011 Clio 1.2 16v - same engine as the Mk2 Clios.
Was going fine, turned the car off, jumped bsck in it and nothing happens when i turn the key.
The electrical fault light is on;
If i attach jump leads this light isnt on, its like nothing is wrong with the car, if i turn the key i...
Modifications, fun stuff but bad for the bank! *cries internally*
Anyhoo...
Absolutely heaps has been done!
First off, i got to work making the car even lower, but to a point its still (barely) practical.
Took out the front helper springs and wound the adjusters up about 10-15mm in the front...
Progress progress progress!!!!
Gotten quite a lot done during this lockdown BS since ive been put on furlough!
First off, got my exhaust welded for the MOT that was coming up.
I replaced the wishbone since the swivel hub joint was knackered
Sealed the headlight unit as it keeps condensating...
Asked for guidance, not bloody opinions [emoji106]
Everyone slating the 90's mods.
Yea, a lot if it looked like dog s**t but at the end of the day, it was different, people showed their taste in mods etc.
Now everyone jumps on a bandwagon and does the same thing to their car as the last...
Keep your opinions to yourself, its something im building to my own taste, couldnt give a toss for anybody's opinion [emoji106]

Im not sure what section this topic belongs... but anyway, has anyone ever done this kind of thing before? Just 1 wiper in the middle of the windscreen, i reckon flipping the motor upside down and modifying the arm somehow might do it but im not too sure.
Any guidance is a blessing!
Tia.
