1.2 16v d4f
I keep getting codes P0325 knock sensor circuit 1 and P0443 evaporative emission purge control valve circuit.
The car idles a bit low especially on cold mornings but not enough to stall.
Was told clean idle control valve and after weeks of looking for one, now been told there isn't...
Clio 06 1.2 16v
My Clio is pulling to the right when braking and also there is the odd clunk from either side under braking and when pulling away. I mechanic drove it and said sticking calipers and was supposed to take the brakes apart and look at it for me but he's gone quiet and not replying...
Tonight I noticed when getting home a loud grinding noise coming from the front left, bit like screeching rails when a train stops, the car seemed to be driving and handling fine.
I'm thinking wheel bearing?
Anything else it could be?
I need the car car tomorrow and planning on having a look...
Thanks for clearing that up, I'm hoping the guy will message me back, he's gone quiet since I said Ide have them, 2 ND person this week! the joys of fb groups hey lol
Tbh I don't know what I'm looking for! In the picture there seems to be an extra 1 or 2 metal hinges which the seat part of it hinges on and my car has what feel to be the slits, I just need to cut the carpet to confirm but it's the back part I'm unsure on.
Found a newish looking back seat for free, would love to replace my old worn ones, I have a mk 2 06 campus sport which has the 1 bench seat and 1 back part of the seat. The one I have found has the spilt between the back part of the seat, just waiting to hear back what car they have come out of...
I've got a basic multimeter. Cheap cheap range. Not a good idea using it then? Havnt actually used it yet but I don't want to fry it or explode and airbag in my face lol.
It passed! Yay. I do intend on plugging it in and getting to the bottom of the real issue, was just getting a bit wearing driving 100 miles a day dropping partner to work when we were down to one car for the 2months. Naturally the eml came on during the mot so that seemed to distract from the...
Nm all done although my dials look out now but battery has died so can't check them. What's the best way to check the are pointing in the right place? Check them against the "hidden menu" that starts up when you hold the button in and start up the electrics?
Right got the dash off and the dial bit out. What's the best way to access the airbag led. Popping off the clear plastic front, dials and going through there or unscrewing the back and going that way?
Thanks, I've got a few more ideas, last year the horn had a moment going off round corners, so I'm thinking trapped wires in the steering squib. It's just so frustrating lol. Gunna give it a going over this weekend, check all the wiring and if that fails I'll tape the led, mot it and find...
My problem is I can't afford to pay Renault prices to plug it in. I don't have 2 pennies to rub together. It's taken 2 months to afford. £15 mot and £100 of parts. So I'm stuck with no car until I can sort this airbag light problem and raise more money for another mot. I'm resisting covering the...
Replaced the blown pretensioner. Light still on. 2 months without the car now. I don't know whether to cry or destroy the b*****d car.
Passenger underneath seat wires have been soldered. Next step Is to solder driver side wires.
Anyone got a link to the post about soldering the wires? I can't...
Thanks, I've finally found one, breakers has confirmed it will fit, turns out eBay were filtering out loads of results with the car spec they have added to the search.
What is the vehicle code? Is that in the log book?
Engine is D4f ( if this is what you mean)
I've found one that looks like it could be a match, just waiting for a reply, but the seatbelt connector is broken, would it be as simple as cutting off the old one and twisting and taping the wires...
Unfortunately there is no part number on my current one. Years of spilt drinks lol.
No campus in my local breakers yard but there are 172/182s and I don't want to risk ordering the wrong one off the internet as money is tight.
Need a drivers side pretensioner, my car is a 06 1.2 16v Clio campus sport ( mk2 phase3 I believe)
I see loads of 182/172s being broken and was wondering if I need a pretensioner from the same model or any mk2 model?
Sent the ecu off today but I asked the guy to let me know the fault codes and he said he cant as it comes back as just letters? Anyone know what he means?
So I'm going to replace both crash sensors before plugging the ecu back in and fingers crossed.
Where are the crash sensors you mentioned? I...
Brill thanks.
All the same tyre sizes. I drove it home and it wasn't pulling but did feel light in the steering, prob the fact I now have a round, heavy wheel on that side now ;)
I've dented an alloy tonight on front left, put my spare on, it's same size but steel instead of alloy, not sure when I can get a replacement alloy.
Will it affect the car to much to drive with a steel on one side and alloy on the other?
It's not a space saver, nor has it got warning stickers...
Yes campus sport.
I think it's the 58mm ones, every time there has been two options on parts, it's been the more expensive one every time!!
Got it down to £125 for the 4 shocks.
I don't understand what that's in reference to. The 54 or 60 what is that, the measurement of the strut? Is that for lowering springs or regular springs.
And what from Renault for 160, just a set of springs? Just a set of shocks? Both?
Costing it up atm. Cheapest springs I can get are 20.99 each for rear and 17.99 front.
They are all anschler so I assume cheap cheap range. That's euro car parts. Plan to use one of the money off codes to get it all cheaper too.
With lowering springs will have have to get different shocks...
