Today I took the scuttle panels off to clean the drains behind there (wet carpets) and can't for the life of me figure out how this piece of trim is fitted goes - does someone know? Help much appreciated!
As above does anybody have a photo which includes the track rod ends from underneath - fitted to the car, whilst on a lift? Trying to identify which way round they need to go - cheers!
Thought it looked good so had to share a few pics!
I've given the car a multi-stage polish last year, so today just topped it up by washing in this order:
Pre-wash with Bilt Hamber Auto Foam
Clay with Bilt Hamber Auto Clay
Quick machine polish with Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Wipe down with...
Just had a chance to test the 0-60 time of my 2004 Clio 182 using a Dragy - very accurate 10Hz GPS and GLONASS comparable to Vbox.
0-60 time was 6.47 secs..not bad for a 15 year old car with 130k on the clock!
The only mods that would affect the time are a "98RON" map from RSTuner and I...
Got my geo setup at KwikFit yesterday and noticed something strange with the rear camber - the left is -0° 30 and the right is -2°02. Doing some reading it seems like the rear beams are not very square from factory, so this might be normal(ish)!
I was thinking of fixing the rear camber with a...
I've got an eBay virgin remote with a new transponder chip which I'll need to get programmed at a locksmith and of course cut a new blade.
Does anyone know whether you can reprogram a Clio 182 remote yourself and what the procedure is? Just the part which controls the alarm and central...
Just fitted some Performance Brake Solutions (PBS) pads to my 182 which cost around £100 for fronts.
When fitting, I removed the anti-rattle clips from the caliper because it was too much of a tight fit with them in
Anyone know if I'll encounter issues doing this?
Cheers!
As per title, wondering if I can disconnect the battery of my 182 for a few months whilst it's being stored?
No issues with forgetting key remotes etc?
I've just replaced my front lambda sensor with a brand new one and the codes (sensor circuit and heater circuit) have reappeared after about 10 miles. Anyone know what this could be?
I thought perhaps a leaking exhaust gasket
Cheers!
Does anybody have this part number to hand?
I tried a universal boot but its split after a few months - apparently the 'fitted' boots made of thermoplastic are better for the outer joint due to the extreme angle at full lock.
Cheers!
Installed a nice aftermarket steering wheel today - what do you guys think?
It's the OMP Superquadro 330mm flat bottom steering wheel finished in suede along with a cruise control 4 button bracket from iamjoel (he makes them to order).
I recently refurbished my rear caliper using a Big Red kit which got the sliders moving perfectly.
After the refurbishment, the handbrake cable doesn't fully lock the wheel on that side...
I left the handbrake cable attached whilst installing the Big Red kit because it was stuck in there...
Went to open the car the other day and the keyfob wouldn't unlock the car :?
Replaced the batteries in the fob but the problem is still there.
I could get in through the passenger door, but the alarm couldn't be disarmed and woke up the sleeping neighbours..
Any help appreciated!
PS I had the...
I was having trouble removing stubborn rear discs on my 182, with heat, levers and sledgehammers having no effect. Stumbled across the Draper Hub Puller which bolts onto the disc using wheel nuts and uses a large bolt that is tightened against the spindle to pop the disc off. It took about 1...
The factory Xenons put out pretty miserable amount of light , so I swapped them for some incandescent headlights running Oxram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs. Far from being a downgrade, the lights are much much brighter now. I know the Nightbreakers need changing quite frequently but the...
