Just done Thursday with Michelin through work, very awesome event. Probably the best all round automotive event I’ve ever been.
Loads of bits to see and good atmosphere. Hill is cool with the variation of cars going up. I’m going to try and do a few days next year.
Xpel is the Ferrari of films, it's got unrivalled clarity, next to no texture, very resilient to damage and scratches backed by a 10 year warranty. They're an american brand and are the only manufacturer to make the film in the way they do and each machine to do it is 10 million.
Premiumshield...
I work at a place that fits Xpel PPF in Cheshire and I’m an Xpel trained installer if anyone ever has any questions or wants a price.
As a general guide you want to protect high impact areas which are bumper, bonnet, wings as a minimum then you can go further and do a pillars, roof strip, side...
Second option he listed was similar to what I used. You may find they’re a little long and the belt clio ends up actually in the middle of the bucket west.
I've just got x2 US pro tool 72" boxes in work last week for general storage, they were £1400 ish inc VAT and quite frankly, they're s**t. Tried to send them back but they wanted us to arrange a courier and the lads had trashed the packaging so we're keeping them but I wouldn't recommend them tbf.
Cat theft is rife at the moment. As above some Honda cats are doing £900-1200 scrap. Easy money for crims.
Realistically the laws need to be tightened on the people buying the scrap
Cars have been crazy the last 4 months. I’m in the trade and we have had our biggest 3 months in 60 years of trading. Literally we could have sold our entire forecourt 5 times over.
I think demand is through the roof as people have cash burning a hole due to no holidays, cancelled plans...
I threw a few tickets on in case I didn’t with the mclaren. Which I didn’t.
I didn’t realise it was this car but I wouldn’t be disappointed to have won it for the £3 it cost me. People saying “they’re making 10k and the car is only worth £5k” etc, the winner doesn’t care as they likely have a...
For me, you need to make the first decision and shape your business around that and that’s wether you want to charge a little and do high volume or charge a lot and do little volume.
So you’re either doing cheap £30 washes but a lot of them, or full days with machine polishing on single cars...
Go Sony, A6300 as above. Unrivalled quality for the money.
Go pros leave a lot to be desired in terms of creativity but they do a good point and shoot job.
I've been having a great time on UK tracks (cadwell, oulton, brands) in a nissan primera I found online.

It's one of those two but can't remember which.
yeah he had snapped it, I presume by pulling it like a normal steering wheel when trying to remove.
I’ve used araldite and it’s firmly back together and just a bit cosmetically annoying. But like you say it’s worth £300 for the base alone.
Yep I did, which was a fair drive from where I am (near liverpool) but couldn't argue for the price. He had it up for like £300 on some adverts then like £180 so I low balled at £135 and he took it.
I’ve just got the but for simulator racing and picked up a Fanatec clubsport wheel and needed a pc to run Asetto Corsa on. Spent ages searching and managed to pick this up for £500:
Intel i7 4.2Ghz 7700k
Corsair Hydro CPU Cooler
ASUS ROG STRIX Z270E LGA1151
16GB Corsair DDR4 2133Mhz
8GB NVIDIA...
The only real reason would be protection on the car that you feel it worked on.
Personally I'll only use snowfoam/prewash if a car is heavily soiled, it doesn't take loads of dirt off but it certainly softens it up.
This was Avalanche (AF) on my F31, just left to dwell for 5 minutes then...
I’d just like to say, I had my cup in with Carl to diagnose an overheating issue, he found it was the head gasket and did me a great price to resolve and do a belt while it was there, I’d already replaced the car and it was having the work done so I could move it on.
While it was left there...
My personal opinion is that Carl is a good guy, done buckets of work over the years for me always gone out of his way for me, got a lot of time for him.
However I can see how things like this spiral out of control, take on too much work, especially for distance customers who aren’t pushing for...
Out of interest, how did they get into the house?
I think deterants are the best way but I’m very much of the opinion they can have it if they come into the house, it’s all insured.
Have you ever had a build thread more than a month long? ? In all seriousness I feel your pain with buying a car then having issues it can really spoil it for you.
Hope it wasn’t too big a loss, great car but like you say niche market so I imagine you took a hit to get it gone.
Not this exact plug but had the same issue with my virgin router. I moved it to 2.4ghz completely to set the plug up and then moved it back to 5ghz and it works flawlessly. I had loads of trouble setting it up initially until I did that. So maybe don’t split it, change it completely then swap it...
