Clio 1.6 16v 2001.. So, Ive just discovered, after paying out a £320 bill for MOT repairs, that I've now got a rattle. I had my N/S driveshaft changed as a had a dodgy CV joint and a couple of other bits, including a gearbox oil change.
I had it up on a lift and discovered a new noise that is...
I have a clio, its a 1.6 16v.
When I bought it, the car had central locking, and I had found out it also has a cobra alarm fitted.
The problem is both of this do not work, I am not bothered about the alarm but it is a bit of a pain not having centeral locking.
I found out that the wires...
I had noticed after replacing the throttle body, when idling if I put my hand over the intake on the airbox and block it, there is hardly any suction and the car doesnt stall, but when I take the airbox off and put my hand directly over the throttle body the car stalls instantly.

I have a feeling this noise might be due to the gearbox, I would drop the oil sooner rather than later. I'll have a think on what else...
I have noticed I have developed a loud ticking sound coming from near my fuel tank when I switch the engine off, the had started after I had changed my Carbon Canister. It ticks fast then gradually slows down to a stop, any ideas? Thanks
I have also been keeping an eye out on our lifeboat station, due to high sea tidal surges with our crew.
My car also judders heavy when setting off in 1st and when changing in to 2nd but I know it's my release bearing.
My advise would of been, if you thought that water may have compromised...
Just had to go out in this thick fog we're having and trying to wipe the windscreen with shitty wiper blades, didn't go that well. So, remembered Tescos in my area opens at midnight so popped there and picked up a set of Bluecol Aeroflex wipers for £8.40, installed in tesco car park with the...
