Right had my car advertised for over a month and no interest so was wondering if sum1 can suggest a price for my 2005 182cup

Any Ideas?

Basically ive got a 172 cup, with a knackered engine and box. The way i look at it, cars worth about 2-2.5k working, but to repair is going to cost about 1.5k. Im thinking its going to be better to sell as is to a breaker, and buy another, probably work out cheaper. What do the CS lot think?
Whats it worth with the knackered gearbox and engine?

ps, if anyone has an engine and/or box to fit plz pm me.

A bit off topic but im thinking of getting a Trophy but only have just over 5.5k at the moment and need a car asap. Could i get a decent one for that price,save up a bit more or just get a 172/182.

what is my clio worth... seriously

been trying to sell my car for a while now, i dont think im being unreasonable with the price either asking 4500 ono, just spent 1100 on it and it just ended for 2800 on ebay! thats terrible, and im not letting it go for that, but what is it seriously worth, this is the spec:

2004 clio 182 artic blue
all the usual standard spec
cup suspension and wheels
around 57000 miles
only been used as an evening and weekend car
mot untill november
tax untill november
tires are fronts (toyo t1r) rears michalen pilot exalto's, could do with replacing soon
car is very clean a no major marks few minor blemishes, as to be expected on a 6 year old car, and theres a scuff to the front bumper can be seen in pictures, wheels have a little bit of curbing, seats are in good condition, no rips or scuffs
never been smoked in
3/4 plate on front
always ran on shell v- power since i've owned it
infinity 6x9's in the parcel shelf

i've recently spent 1100 on the car having the following done

had a full cambelt service
new pads and disks all round
few other jobs that needed doing

any comments welcome... if this is all its worth will be being sorned and stripped out for the track lol

im thinking of selling the clio as i want to move onto a e36 m3 for atrackday car now.
i really dont know whats to price it at so would like some help.

i think your right tbh, i reckon with paint and parts i have just over 4k in the car.would be an absolute shame if i was to have to break it but a quick tally up of what it would be worth in parts would see over 2k easily... madness i say

Looking at others around that age and mileage, I'd start with £2700 and accept no lower than £2500. Getting it serviced before selling might seal the deal for a couple of hundred more if you're lucky.

Pricing my clio

I have recently been in contact with a friend of mine to sell my clio to him.
I have a 182 FF in RB with the cup pack. It has just done 50000 miles and It has had the cam belt done. A few of the mods i have done are new janspeed exhaust, remap, lowered (but still have original springs) and installed an ipod a connection for an ipod, it also has just had a service (including a gearbox oil change) and MOT (with no faults)
Now i was asking for £5000 for it. But he looked on auto trader and there are some going on there for £3750 with less miles on the clock than mine. Am i asking too much??! if i am i may just keep it.

hahaha, he's having you over!! would be at least £4500 and if its in really good condition with all wheels and brakes in good nick then even up to £5250!!!
I would have it off you but I need to sell my megane R26!! : (

Pretty good. Good service history, the car has never really had any major problems. I think im the 4th owner though which ithink is the only negetive about the car. I have looked after it well though. It always gets cleaned and polished about twice a month, and always flown through MOT's.

I was looking at an r26 but the whole point of me selling the clio was that i have a company van that i can use whenever i want and the clio was only being used at weekends so i'm finding it hard to justify keeping it. BUT all you need is one good day driving a RS and you end up keeping it for another month!!
