Clio 182 scuttle panel window seal

After taking off the skuttle panel yesterday to check the drains (couldn't actually find them) it was clean down there and all three holes were letting water out. When I went to put the scuttle panels back on I noticed on each end the seal the goes from the scuttle panel to windscreen is not flush and lifts up as the seal goes above the side seals it leaves a gap of a few mm. Is this normal or am I being daft? I really should have checked before I took it off thanks. I will add pictures soon

I put some silicone to fill the gap for now

Mines the same, never been an issue, water drains somewhere..

Thanks nice to hear especially with this storm battering us at the minute

You may find that one or more of the white clips are broken on the underside of the plastic scuttle, it's the pressure that these create when fastened that keeps the seal snug to the screen (clips break easily).
No big deal though as the water only goes into the drains anyway.

Oh right, I will investigate when all this weather stops thanks

The clips I mentioned.....


One of mine had broken in the past and I had a similar problem, I replaced the whole panel.

Brilliant, thanks for the photo. Yes I have a few bits I want to do in the spring so I will add this to the list
