What sort of time scales you looking at? I’m not in a particular rush but if the focus works then they’re going to be a requirement
If you can get drawings and send them to me to look at I'll let you know if I can squeeze them into my schedule at work??

I definatly could make those, how long it would take is another matter. Depends what job I'm on as to how much time I can plunder. I probably toss it off long enough each week to make those ?

Started to get trained in the basics of Fanuc at work on a small 3 axis emco. Makes it easier when you have to easy2program software and just need to remember a few G/M codes and the cycles does the rest.
Shame it can't handle steel very well, we didn't buy the machine though so can't complain I guess!

ok laser cutting is my new favourite thing!

the bed wasn't parallel to the head so the laser focal point was not at optimum. so ive ripped the bed out and put a new one in on springs. now I can adjust each corner so the laser focal point is perfect for cutting.

I can smash something like the below out in 4mins flat

ive got some acrylic to try out next, I want to also try some 5mm thick ply.

Oh the fun...

Thoughts on the diy MPCNC?

I have a 3d printer so I could make a fair few of the parts.

what are you going to use I for?

3d printed means its going to be pretty weak, so fine for 3d cutting like the video. but probably lacking for proper cutting.

I bet that horse thing took him the best part of a entire day to machine

Just to have a play with really figured it was a cheap way to get into it and left open the possibility to upgrade it in the future to be more useful.

In that case it's got to be worth a shot then.

FYI for my router I buy the cheapest cutters possible on ebay, they work a treat.

First time cutting acrylic and it's done a cracking job.

Single pass on 3mm thick and 2 passes to cut 5mm thick.

So I'm happy and the kids are happy
