Love it! The ride hight isn’t bad but a Slight drop and it’s perfect! Look forward to seeing it at csf!

Thanks mate, I think your right a little drop would help.

Although to be fair it's not far off the arch gap that the 18's had, but it probably looks more pronounced due to the bright colour? I'm not sure...

Can't wait to get it out on track at CSF, anybody is more than welcome to join me as a passenger!

Hope to see you there bud.

Yeah! Too many hatches out there look vulgar
I know what you meant bud, although I wouldn't class any yellow car as 'classy' with or without red wheels! [emoji23]

I totally appreciate it's not to everyone's taste but like you said it's my own car and that's all that matters.

I'm on the MK4 Clio's group on Facebook, and I'm surrounded with all these identical cars white, yellow etc all with black wheels... It's a bloody bold statement but I just wanted to mark my own car from all the others!

I've always loved the Megane Trophy-R especially the yellow with red wheels as it really stands out from anything else out on the road!

It had to be the OZ Alleggerita, as it has a real motorsport look and extremely light to top it off. The smaller wheel gives me a better choice of track focused rubber also, in this case Yokohama AD08R's.

I've obviously still got the original wheels/tyres and they won't be going anywhere.

Worst case if I grow tired of the red wheels, I'll nip over the road to 'My Alloys' and get them powder coated another colour!

Saying that tho I don’t think it’s a must as the wheel doesn’t look funny at all it suits the car as it is!
I will definitely take you up on the passenger lap at csf I’ve not been in a 220 yet! Good man!

After a couple of coats of 'Dodo Juice Banana Armour' I'm over the moon with how it looks!

I've got a set of H&R spacers on order for the front, and to go with them a Pure Motorsport stud/nut conversion kit.

Looks ace, fan here!

Would you consider matching the silver on the front and rear, or is that a step too far?
Thanks Tim!

I have discussed this with others, and have even thought about the red Trophy-R graphics that go up over the rear quarter.

I don't know whether it would be a step too far!

The other issue would be if I stuck the black wheels backon, it may look a little odd?

Sounds like you need the following pictures photoshopped:

1) Front with red accent
2) Rear with red accent
3) and 4) As above but with black wheels back on

Now who’s good at that kind of thing, Andy, do you know anyone? ;) @SharkyUK

Thanks guys!

It's comforting to know that I'm not the only person that isn't put off by a car looking like it's crashed through a burger van condiments table! [emoji23]

Pending upgrades, and some preparation for CSF18 at Blyton.

Ferrodo DS1.11's for the front, and DS2500's for the rear. Along with some HEL braided lines.

Just need some decent fluid, and have also been looking at mounting options for my gopro in the car.

'Head Rest Mount' looks good, but isn't the cheapest.

I always used to mount my camera on the rollcage (obviously not possible on this car) I prefer to have the camera view further back rather than stuck on the dashboard.

I managed to stick the camera onto the passenger window in my Megane, but it was bloody awkward and would prefer something easier.

Any ideas?

More CSF prep!

Down at the workshop on a Sunday is always a good laugh.

Brake fluid change for Harry's R32 GTR (which will be on track at Blyton)

Brake fluid change for mine also, along with a set of HEL braided lines, and Ferrodo pads front/rear.

Thought I'd take some photos whilst we're here as I'm usually crap and forget to take them...

Turns out we have the same PCD and swapped the wheels over for a laugh! [emoji23]

The old girl sounds like a steam train pulling up at a station! [emoji23]

Took the Trophy out this evening to 'bed' the Ferrodo's in.

Without a doubt the noisiest pads I've ever used!

You can manipulate the brake pedal so it doesn't make a sound whatsoever, and it did seem to improve the hotter they got.

But my god the stopping power is impressive, I suppose the noise is a sacrifice I'm just going to have to put up with...

They've been on for a while, but the more I looked at them the more I wasn't 100% sure with the red wheels!

Long story cut short, they are being dropped off at the powder coaters tomorrow morning...

After sticking the OE wheels back on today it makes me realise how much I like the OZ's but I think they'll look even better 'Gloss Black'

Ive only had mine for 3 months so haven’t got round to getting where I want it to be in terms of tracking.. but I’d love to hop in for a few laps especially with these mods if the offers still there? ?

You are more than welcome to join me for a few laps mate!

Really looking forward to CSF now, just hoping this weather holds out. Although I wouldn't complain if it was a little cooler...

Super! Really appreciate that, I shall bring my lid with me then ?

I hope so as drinking beer is so much better in the sun! Although it is fairly north so rain is bound to make some sort of an appearance I bet.

Ha! Glad of that as it's the only place i use and recommend. Had 4 sets of wheels done there so far. top place.

That's good to hear mate! ?

One of the lads that used to work with us, now works there so he has been updating me through the whole process which is always nice! ?

They're on! [emoji7]

Again apologies for the dreadful photos, but I'm shattered after work and the car is filthy because I'm holding out until next week to give it a bloody good clean prior to CSF!

Seeing them fitted against the yellow paintwork I know I've made the right choice.

Somehow it makes the car much more purposeful, without being in your face?

See they do nothing for me. Standard wheels are much nicer :)

Each to their own mate.

Personally I don't really like the OE wheels (although much nicer than the pre-facelift wheels or the Trophy wheels with the polished faces...)

They are a really big blocky design, and they weigh an absolute ton! Having both sets fitted within the last week has highlighted how much nicer the Clio drives with the smaller/lighter wheel fitted.
