Good starter DA?

I see certain sites offer DA packages, any thoughts on which one for a beginner? Going to try it on the Clio.

In fairness the new cheap forced rotation ones like the Bigfoot are better these days. Much better vibration etc and smooth.

Probably not a bad kit. Make sure you get that vertool polisher and not a das.

Can I ask why the Vertool over the Das? I'm looking to get into machine polishing and am unsure which one to go for.

I recently used the autofinesse rejuvenate kit on a DAS 6 Pro... wasn't a fan. The polishes were dusty and seemed to dry out quickly. Also the 6" pads are massive and apart from the bonnet and the roof they don't fit round many of the curves and edges (or I just need more practice).

When I picked up the DAS I got with with the white and orange hex logic pads with m105 and m205, which is a pretty strong combo. Leaves you with a few spare ££ to get a couple of smaller pads and another backing plate if needed.

Now I wouldn't buy a standard DA. ANT made a thread recently also. Look at vertool on clean your car.

You want a forced rotation throw DA.

Thanks for the reply - sorry for hijacking your thread Ant. Glad you mentioned that, looks to be a good bit of kit and not too expensive at £159.95. Will go for this one then - unfortunately they don't do any bundles with polishes/pads on this one! (except Sonax).

Was looking at Menzerna for some starter polishes/pads - any recommendations on which brand is superior? Thanks again.

Polish is a hard one these days. Menzerna range with chem guys or Scholl pads.

Or scholl pads and polishes.

Carpro range is brilliant but no experience with the polish pad combos.
