Looks like they've done a proper job taking all the trim and stuff off. Either that or they just pulled it off, took the photo to make it look as though they've done a proper job, put it all back on then done a quick jobby

Had the dent man out a couple of weeks ago to do the majority of the car park dings. Then this morning I went to Rentech for an oil and filter change, and to look at a rattle I had. Turned out to be a loose bolt on the bar connecting to the dog bone. Nice and simple, and wants for nothing at the moment. Then the last picture is from this morning in the sun!

Just as this is now more of a maintenance log than anything else.. i've done a fair few miles the last year and my 'preventative maintenance' hasn't been the best, so i was expecting a big MOT bill, so £450 later.

New front OEM Brembo discs and pads (thanks @George@RTR_Parts)
New rear caliper as handbrake was shite
New gearbox sensor for speedo
New washer pumps x2
Replace CV boot

On 120,000 miles.. and still going strong, I think.

End of an era, 5 years, 50,000 miles, and a lot of fun. A bloke came from Dunkirk, France to collect it last night. Surprised how much interest it got, took all of 3 days and sold to the first viewer, maybe slightly underpriced.

A picture of it at it's new home in France.

If you took off the resale value of the turinis and seats then for the miles and paint it wouldn’t really hold much value over another of similar miles.
It was only for the fact that an enthusiast owned car with a couple of other tweeks, like engine mounts made me interested. (And a different colour to black and silver).

I think if you took those items out it’s not that special so perfectly priced in my opinion.

Could’ve advertised for more but would you have got it? I suspect not.
A win win situation all round really.

Where did the buyer see the ad to be in France? Was he tipped off in here or are they a member?
Any ideas where I can advertise mine to get attention in France?

Yeah I probably could have made another 3-400 quid if i sold off some of the mods, but cba. He messaged me 5 mins after I advertised it on the Clio Sport Owners Facebook page.. there seems to be a few nationalities on there.

How much did you think it was worth? Was at 2300 and imo a fair price considering miles etc

Given that it was the only tidy one in flame red with documented ownership and history available, I would have said £3250 was not unreasonable.

The one mentioned in post 586 is probably worth £1250 if that, as it has stood so long that it likely needs £2k spent to bring it up to the standard of Davyy`s.

Sorry mate this is not me using them, There is a guy going round forums / facebook and google taking pictures of peoples engine bays that have my cover fitted.

These are not my covers for sale on Ebay

Some guy hounded me for weeks wanting to buy one and as soon as I sold him one he went away and made his own and has started selling them on ebay.

They look like mine but I have had a message from someone saying that the quality was not the best and they asked if it was mine and I had to say no.
That person is active on the forums who bought the cover and im sure he paid around £45/£55 for the cover but the price has now dropped.

All mine have been correctly measured and drawn up on CAD and are all cut perfectly by laser and made to a very very high standard and also powder coated and stamped. (Im sure some owners will agree is a nice product)

If people want to buy from ebay they can and im not going to try and convince anyone any different, I still have people messaging me weekly for covers but due to massive family and work commitments I have yet to start a fresh batch so if you want one quickly and you want one thats £10 cheaper then Ebay is your bet (y)

Yep yours are a top quality veery well made item. I'd love to see one of the ebay ones next to yours for comparison. I'm sure the people who buy the fake ones would be disappointed if they could see them side by side.
