Upgrades and general modifications that's are worth doing?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and clio sport ownership. I am an owner of a 172 in silver and I am just wondering what can be done/modified to the car to improve what's originally there? Is there a general "must do" improvements that you guys can advise?
 
Sometimes think I should've just left my Cup there.

Now I have a 172 turbo with a diff which doesn't get used.
Yep they don't need much. I had as much fun in mine with the above than i did when it was track spec. If i do it again it would just be the basics.

As above, initially keep it simple, see what you think is letting it down and ask specific questions based on that.
So if you feel brakes are poor for example then ask in the brakes and suspension forum, etc

Put a diff in will make the most difference to these out of any other mod out there.
 
I think it depends how much enjoyment you get out of the car and if certain things are stopping that. Some people as just said would of preferred refreshing rather than upgrades. I personally dont like the stock setup regardless, im on ebiach springs and am now saving for full coilovers only a few months after buying them, with that a bucket seat as well, after mucking about with different geometry settings the cars turning in much quicker and now other aspects are showing weaknesses, I cant keep in my seat and the car rolls to much, those things stop me from the most enjoyment I could have

I would suggest a snappy steering wheel retrim. Makes for such a nice feel when driving, my favourite mod when I was upgrading my car all over.
 
My favourite mods were the fatty induction kit and polybushed dogbone Mount. You could feel the difference with both

Cheers guys, I have been reading about the rear exhaust hangers and upgrading to the poly ones instead of the standard crap rubber cross type? As the standard exhaust weighs a lot.

2. Gtechniq G1/G5 on the windscreen
3. DS2500s
4. Refreshed suspension.

I think @DaveDreads isn’t much of a fan of the poly exhaust bushes, mine was held together with a socket and cableties though, which looked arse but worked.

So a general rule of thumb is to stick to the original spec but just buy good quality? Are the mintex rear brake kits on eBay any good?

Fatty induction kit is one of the best things I ever did to mine. Cheap and cheerful mod that gives the car even more character.

As a couple of others have said, make sure all the suspension is fresh and then go from there. You might decide that it needs nothing or everything!

It’s worth changing the rear exhaust hangers if your old ones are looking worn but I wouldn’t bother with the poly ones unless you get an aftermarket exhaust.

If it's not already been done a refresh of suspension parts, bushes and engine mounts will make it feel much better. Put decent tyres on if it's on ditch finders and enjoy.
