My Trophy spoiler arrived today  Rather than going for the Italian replica I took a punt on one of the fibreglass ones that have currently become available on ebay. This has been moulded from a genuine trophy spoiler and you can even see the 'renault' writing on the underside. I will need some smaller struts, but i had seen that this is also the case on some of the new italian reps and I also prefer the single line on top rather than the two the rep has. Horses for courses i guess.

I have only taken a few photos, but it'll soon be taken to a bodyshop to be painted Black Gold and I'm proper excited! I'll obviously trial fit it first ;)

I'll be having this area smoothed out as this is the place where the rear washer would usually be but as i'm not running a dewiper it isn't necessary :)

I had also heard that these spoilers sometimes dont sit flush with the roof, however i compared it to my spare cup spoiler and it look like it'll be perfect. Be able to tell better once it's in place.

Uww looking forward to seeing this. I have been looking at this very spoiler so if you don’t mind I will maybe come meet you one day when it’s fitted and have a look. Saw the car in the uni car park today

Nope. Bought the light on ebay for £8. It's just a standard brake light from a 1.2/172 standard spoiler.
Part number: 7700844706

Obviously used, but good enough tbh. Either that or get yourself to a scrap yard.

But either battery is knackered or it's just a loose earth somewhere. Weird if battery as it's been driven loads lately. Only died overnight and I had left nothing on.

check the lead on the starter motor. The small one can pop off sometimes.
Sounds like its that. if you have skinny hands and wrists you can get your hand between the middle exhaust manifolds to feel around for the spade connector.

They're slightly larger but often take more prep to sit well iirc. Not sure how well this one will sit but time will tell

Sorted It! I had a loose negative terminal. The part where the nut is and that cable is connected. Tightened it up and then it turned over but wouldn't fire. Immobilizer was solid so I turned ignition on and left it for a minute or so then it fired into life. Happy days

It was a dry sunny day for a change so made some more progress by removing the front bumper and finally getting my carbon splitter and washer blanks fitted. First thing was to pop rivet the bonnet stay back on the car.

Brought the front bumper into the house to avoid any scrapes or damage

It was fairly fiddly to make sure the splitter was in place properly but I got there eventually. Glad I did it inside as I didn't have to worry about it falling in the wind. Should have fitted the washer blanks I painted ages ago as i've hated the blank holes in the bumper.

Very happy with the front end now! Just black insert xenons to go on next

So much want for the carbon splitter. Can’t decide if to bin my fog lights of or not. Need to decide before the bumper goes back on though

When the genuine Renault cup splitters are so ridiculously expensive these carbon ones are very cheap in comparison! Got this one for a great price second hand and after a few coats of lacquer you can't even tell it's used!

And I like both! Difficult choice as once you go bass ducts you can't go back as you need to cut the bumper
