1*2 won't worm up enough after 2 stats replacement

  172 ph2
hey
So the french thermostat i've replaced 4 months ago was failed
Yesterday i've changed it to the Renault OEM one with new coolant tank (the old one had a leak)
Of course that i've replaced the seals both times.
The car still doesn't warm up like he should, starting up on IDLE 15 minutes from cold engine, the temp doesn't pass 75C
The bottom hose from the thermostat to the radiator DOESN'T warming up before 12minutes (when the OBD shows about 70c) so i'm not sure those stats are both failed
Any suggestions ? i think that i've made the air drainage well (from the screw)
Thanks...

Chinese OBD + gauge is below the middle + fan isn't kicking in + bottom hose takes too much to warm up (i presume)

Have you felt around all the tubes and the engine itself?

Is there a way of telling if the water pump has failed?

i don't know what to check exactly mate ,i checked only the stat-to-radiator hose
The water pump replaced about 2years ago so i'm not sure it is

If you suspect the water has failed , you’d be getting the opposite to what your actually getting . It’d would be overheating for sure if the pump was iffy.

I suggest you rev the engine up to 2000rpm and literally wait to see the fan cut in , and watch the fan kick in .

Also as the weather is colder , it’ll take longer in general to warm up .

Once warmed up and fan is running , let us know the Chinese temp and gauge position . Then drive for 10mins and tell us the Chinese temp and gauge position .

yea i'm pretty sure it's not the water pump
Anyways i'm not from the UK so the weather here is about 25c at the day
Today it was 13c and the car warmed up fine (89c on the OBD) .
In Saturday i will change the CTS
Barnesautos thanks for your advise i will try that!

my temperature indicator has been below middle in the 13 months ive had it, done about 6k miles and never had an issue.

Track days too, altho it does go up a bit then LOL

Afaik in ph2 the temp gaugh shouldn't be below the middle. And running cold doesn't say thay you'll have an issue but your engine life will be shorter.

Little update:
Since yesterday the temp is spot on and the car warms up like he should. But i didn't touch nothing .
Today i changed the CTS so i'll give it a week and hope that it will stay like that.

Air lock in the coolant I would imagine, which has probably worked it's way around to the header tank.

Glad it's sorted.
I was going to add that the only certain way too know whether the ending is warmed up is to hit the rev limiter. If it's >7,000 rpm, it's warm. :)

yea i know about the cold map thing , But when it was cold i was afraid to hit the limiter + my crank pulley got minor cracks so i'm afraid to push it too hard until it will be replaced
cheers
