PMS strut / top mounts for tric trophy production class?

hi,
I’ve fitted the PMS strut brace and top mounts (http://www.pure-motorsport.co.uk/front-strut-top-mounts-and-strut-brace.html) and then re-read the regs for production class F in tricolore trophy and I’m concerned it might not be compliant. what are people’s interpretation of the below, specifically ‘the mount on the standard mounts’, is it saying it has to use the standard top mount, or just standard mounting position, or both or neither.... I’m not clear! I’m using 172 cup dampers on a non-cup 182 with the PMS kit.

Permitted- Uprated/lowered springs are permitted. Non adjustable uprated dampers are permitted providing the mount on the standard mounts...... Camber bolts and shims are allowed, Front adjustable top mounts are permitted for vehicles that cannot use camber bolts.
b. Prohibited – Modifications to suspension pick up points...... offset or adjustable suspension strut mounts.....

If anyone knows definitively I’d really appreciate the guidance.

it's not a 'standard' mount so no. BUT it is a standard mount as far as geometry is concerned...chances of getting away with them...slim at best sorry.

can you run a strut brace though? if you can then you may be able to get away with them for running a brace though.

Cheers for that, you can run a strut brace. Technically they do mount in the standard mount, I’m just not using a standard mount...

you might be able to get away with it then as the pms is the only 'real' brace and kind of has to be used with their mounts.

suppose it comes down to the scrutineer on the day though as to whether you get way with it or not. don't want to pee on your chips though but i don't think you'll get away with it.

as they are a standard mounting point and non adjustable I would say they should be ok.
dave bell is our compliance scruitineer so he would have the final say , best way is to ask on the facebook page

One of the reasons I think they are allowed is the note that is 'Front adjustable top mounts are permitted for vehicles that cannot use camber bolts.'
I dont believe you could get adjustable top mounts that werent solid, and it would be unfair to favour cars that cant have camber bolts by giving them an 'excuse' to have solid mounts.

Hi there.
The regs are quite clear.
If you cannot adjust camber by camber bolts, then different too mounts are allowed.
As you can use camber bolts, then a different top mount is not allowed.
Unless you go into Production Plus

Thanks Tony for clarifying, I do think the wording in the regs could be a little clearer to be fair.

Think it will be coming off initially rather than pro+!

Come on guys, it's not F1, and we can't make different regs for different cars.
Lucky I put you could have camber bolts anyway tbh.
Production means production, if you want to start using fancy stuff, then move up a class.
