Got to film these two a while ago, bloody love the 8 MR, exactly how I would have mine!

That GSR is rude. Not a fan of all the carbon on the 8 Mr, think it has enough carbon already without making it look tacky.

lol ^

This week(end) is gonna be pretty good weather wise, probably some of the last this year. Time to hoon everywhere. Not driven it hardly at all since getting it back

I don’t have any holiday left to do another track day, before the winter hits. c**k.

Still I drove it up to Bedford for a palmersport jolly yesterday, and it was well received!

Picked the car up from the lockup at 10, just got home. Still can't get over how quickly it spools with this turbo. It's so addictive...till you have to fill up again

Scott, fire your son and I'll borrow a couple more Go-Pros from work so we can take some proper footage lol :D

So borrowed a Hero 5 today for the first time. Recorded a few short videos on the way home, in the dark sadly but still

Audio is shite. Gonna take some tomorrow morning instead. Little did I know, the Hero5 is a rushed to market piece of filth. Case designs completely muffle the microphone. Morons

It's hard trying to get a good sound recorded off of a GP. I have a hero4 black, it's fine if I'm recording exhaust noise when it's stuck to the rear bumper but if I fit it to the door you get nothing but wind.

I've now bought a foam cover/sock thing and it's ok in 1st and 2nd gear but any faster you can't hear a thing, no wind, no engine. Nothing.

Yeah there's not much gain either, you need a proper external mic!

Ignore my chums profanity lol. Best I managed to get in traffic in the dark with all the other zombies going home. 40 to 90 odd in 3rd gear. Will take some better footage with the mic sorted tomorrow.

USB external microphone with a wind sock, mounted in the reg plate recess or somewhere similar, my pedigree chum.

15m20s for proper sound, seemed to have buggered up in the export.

Bit better, with the port cover on! Makes a bit of a difference but will try with audio filtering disabled. If I end up keeping I'll pick up a mic, cheers Adam.
Just a bit of a pull on the bypass earlier, till I ran out of road. I've still not tried launch control since I had it mapped 😞 lol.

Took a deposit on mine last night, gets collected this weekend. Sad times, but onwards and upwards as they say...

How's comes bud? what's next?
As much as i loved it, it was just wasted on me.

I drive 20 miles each way to work and back in it, 5 days a week at 50mph, down a very long boring A road usually in back to back traffic. Was costing a lot of money to be used just for a commuter car. In an ideal world i'd keep it as a 2nd car, but i just wouldn't drive it then.

Whats next... i literally have no idea. I still dont feel like i ever replaced the Golf properly, and fancy something new again. I drove one of the new Range Rover P-HEV's at work yesterday and its turned my attention back to an I3 (dont laugh) to use purely for commuting to work and back. Then with the money id save on fuel etc, maybe get myself something else, should the itch need to be scratched. There's still a big want for something posing a Subaru badge inside of me that i need to satisfy at some point in the future.

Makes perfect sense mate, I couldn't use the Impreza everyday it would annoy me and cost me a fortune.
I'm the same as you mate, I work 24miles each way and I sit on an A road into London. There is no fun what so ever doing that so I just drive my old van which I'm not to fussed about racking up the miles etc...

Oh and a exhaust vid of mine should you decide to come over to the dark side..[emoji23]
