A few pics of the car on the rollers .

And the print outs .

269 BHP

269 LB/FT

A little bit down on the claim of 306 BHP and 285 LB/FT but the car feels very quick ( as it would with 270 BHP ) on the road and the AFR are looking good .

I have herd / read that switching maps can be a problem as the car did have there CP2 stage 2 map on the car and then has the CP4 map on the car now running the hybrid turbo so this is something I will look in to as with this turbo set up and running an Evolutions chip map cars are making 310 BHP and 320 LB/FT .

Car runs great as it is and they are only numbers at the end of the day but I will look in to this .

Alan

45bhp is quite a lot lower than the claim though, especially considering its a new turbo!
Any thought so far on what the issue might be?

Also interested in the above ☝️ want to see if these ph1s really are better

My (standard engine other than induction) Phase 1 made 165BHP last time i went to Surrey Rolling Road, only Phase 1 there from what i recall. Could do with a Torque measure, and as it runs so well, weighing up whether to RS Tuner it or not.

RS tuner is worth the money, better cold starts, increased rev limit and a good diagnostics tool. Pound for pound my best mod to date.

And I do fancy getting one- its the plan. But my cold starts are fab (Its the warm starts it needs couple seconds) and the torque and revs seem really good too. When I see some Ph1 owners are getting round 150bhp, it makes me wonder if the engine has already been tuned :) or bits that I cant see have been done

It also drives a lot better when cold with an RS tuner map, very noticeably difference.

165bhp is ok, not great though! my standard 172 with RS tuner made 175bhp last time at SRR.

Persuaded- next mod early next year now back on track
Thinking buying new off Henk

What do they rev to with the rs tuner map? I understand the rev limit is 7,250 as standard (once the car is up to temperature) and 6,750 otherwise.

Were there many people using this map on their 172s/182s at the last rolling road day as the figures looked quite good for most people

My white has a RS tuner map. Ran 184.7 (with Ramair filter, longlife sport cat and janspeed cat back exhaust.)
My previous Arctic, (with standard filter, OE cat, janspeed exhaust) ran 181bhp a couple of years back at SRR.
IMO its not about the output, i suspect difference is a 1-2bhp tops, but it definitely feels like a more even delivery of power, although i'm not a fan of the cold start revving or raised rev limit/redline.

I agree. I’ve got some 197 cams and ARPs in my garage waiting to be fitted soon, along with a remap at EFI.
Mmmm my car spends a lot of time in the high revs. Is it worth getting ARPs fitted at the same time as the cambelt?

I’ll come along once I get another engine lol. My last one blew up a couple of days ago but made 179 at Surrey Rolling Road previously so I’m hoping for more with a healthier engine
