Not me, before you launch into hysterics.

The Mum of GiT has an S5 and the way it's been set up and alike, she's had no comprehension of backing up and alike and relied on Dropbox. That's filled and she's had an app issue that's meant she's lost a load of photos and video.

I've recovered a load of pictures but need to Root it to sort the rest out. But I'm in a little deep with all that till I get it here to sort it.

In the meantime, I want to buy her a basic smart phone that'll take photos, videos, text, take/make calls and the various messaging apps she uses.

Looking at the Samsung J3 (2016) as it's about £110 and I can lob a decent sized MicroSD in it. Any others to consider you sexy lot?

For ease of use for an older person I’d say an iPhone and everything backs up to iCloud so she shouldn’t lose anything again.

I’m sure you’ll be able to get a 5s/6/se for cheap now

My dad 73 has just got an iPhone and has been fairly ok at picking how it works up. He's never used a computer before and has very little experience at using mums iPad (mostly for sky sports).
