Gear oil blowing through the breather

Sounds knackered mate, you're going to have to get a rebuild and a diff at the same time unfortunately :tongueclosed:
Or if you do it on a slope, for example when the front is jacked up but the back is on the deck
Haha, seen one in the FS section as well with a gripper for £1500. Only if my belts weren't due... :triumph:

Gonna get Carl to drop me some 197 cams in and take it to EFI, that will do for now but a diff will be going in once the box is done.

Nice little increase with them mate.
No it's got the correct amounts of fluids used the breather to fill as it's easier but removed the level bung to confirm she was full enough, it's almost like it's breathing heavy and throwing it back out via the breather pipe

Must have taken you forever to fill it via the breather! Surely easier to just take the butterfly off and use some hose?
If you've put the right amount of oil in and it's not leaking anywhere then I wouldn't be too worried myself. Always worth someone who knows the boxes well though like @NorthloopCup

If it's not overfilled, there's not much else that can cause it tbh. You could always try lengthening the breather pipe. Renault did this with the later 130 boxes.
The internal part of the breather has a Z kinda shape to it to stop this from happening, so it's possible (but unlikely) that it's either damaged/split, or completely fell apart. Again, unlikely though.
