Dci speedo trim in 182

So decided that I wanted to get a more 'stealth' look and found that the dci trim was black, thought the 182 would look good with that.

Bare with on the terrible lighting, I used a go pro knockoff type thing and its just impossible to see whats going on with the exposure

Airbag light been on and off even with the resistors, took the wheel off and just moved the the wires a tad and its sorted it

Again, lighting is crap and looks much better irl. Was thinking of using the white needles that came with it but the red and black works well

15 quid ebay and its kept me amused everytime ive got in the car :smile:

Loads better. Must admit, the silver has done my head in since i got my car 8 years ago

I'll be honest, it sounded like a crap idea but I actually really like that.

@ZachB - how easy is it to take the black trim off the DCI clocks ? is it a risk free job?

It was a lot easier than I thought. Its just held together by some small torx bits on the back with a couple of clips.

it needs to be an authentique or expression speedo in case anyone goes and orders one blind, the rest are silver

@ZachB . After seeing yours I had to do the same. DCI clocks off ebay. Swapped the surrounds and machine polished the glass till it was perfect.

Really pleased with it. Cheers for the top idea.

That is a marked improvement! I hate the blue on my 172 Cup I'd even settle for silver but black is bar far the best option I've seen. Good work.

@hsustyle it does mate, its a nice and easy mod. Dont think youd have to completly remove the dash aswell but its a lot easier to do so
