Seats with omp base what else?

Hi all,

Ive got a cobra monaco s seat and an omp frame. (As in the pics)

This is to go in a clio 172 ph2.

I know this sounds thick but what else do i need? Sidemounts i believe? But then i read the monaco s seat isnt side mounted so now im not sure.
Can somebody advise me? Lol
If anyone is feeling even more helpful a link to the final piece i need to buy would be awesome

Monaco seats should be side mountable, have a look and see if there's 2 bolt holes either side, if there is then you can use side mounts.

There a few options for mounting the seat the subframe, sidemounts (assuming you can use them) which fix the seat into one position, base mount with sliding runners which will allow the seat to slide forward and back (helpful if it's not just yourself who drive the car) or you can use a combination of both I believe, however not all side mount and base mount setups are compatible

thanks for your input mate, ill check when i get home but i believe there is 4 screws underneath cant remember seeing anything else on the side but i will double check

Just checked there arent any bolt holes at the sides only underneath?

Base mount only then mate I'm afraid, have a look through here http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/sport-seat-sliding-rails-runners/cat_169.html should give you an idea of what you'll need to attach seat to subframe

I had some that were identical I think, didn't have a problem with them. Just make sure they're the same width as the bolt holes on the bottom of your seat/s

I wouldn't be purchasing the OMP frames personally as they need spacers to sit level and are not much lower than the OE position which is horrendous, look at getting some JonFoz X-Low frames with runners from JCC rally on eBay as they're half the price of the OMP ones. You'll also be needing some M8X50 high tensile (8.8-12.9) bolts to anchor the frame to the car, and some M8X25 high tensile (8.8-12.9) to fit the seat to the sliders and sliders to the sub-frame. You can use the OE nuts to fit the frame to the car, but you'll need niloc m8 nuts for the rest as well as stainless washers.

What is your plan with seat belts?

Thanks all for your help.

Could either get the omp runners as i bought the omp frame now or just sell that on on go with your suggestion jb21 not sure.
Ill have a think im in no rush at the minute, i would be looking to use standard seat belts aswell for now

How tall are you? I'm 6ft and use the JonFoz x-low frames with runners and it's just about right, could be a tad lower...

If any of you have someone that can make some frames up I have a file with all dimensions etc for a super low frame. Think it was modeled off the cobra frame?
