The only things I'd say, have been mentioned I think.

It was really well organised, and there was plenty to do and see.

Only things I'd suggest are moving the passenger pickup point, or making driver's more aware of them (I didn't see it till near the end of the morning session, so only took out a few mates).
Name tags - I saw some folks with them on, but I didn't see many. I know you can't force them on people, but maybe stick one in with the tickets?

Otherwise, it was another fantastic weekend!

First show for me and there is a few things that are small but could have helped us old grumpy people.

Camping & Parking -
Could have been a little more organised with lines of tents and cars.
We tried but by the end of Friday night people just pitched anywhere.
We did try and pitch our tents away from the marquee and more towards the entrance to be told by a club that we could not pitch there and it was only for them.
If it was marked out with red and white tape and organised you would then Not be dodging in and out of tents and avoiding the mass amount of beer bottles that where laying around also.

Activities -
These should have been marked out more clearly that they where "Free" for all members along with the tea, coffee, juice and refreshments as this was something I was totally unaware off.
As well as pushing the track time and selling that the Segways and other things should have been pushed as free things to do.

Show & Shine -
Would have been good also to get a photoshoot with the winners of this and maybe also push that this was a part of the show and more people would have possibly made a much bigger effort in having a clean car if they knew this was something that was happening

I really did enjoy the event and a truly appreciate the work and money that goes into this just for one day so please don't feel that I'm having go.

Evening food a bit earlier.

I bought a weekend ticket just so I could have food with you lot (I wasn't planning on camping).

If it was straight after the raffle that would be grand. As it was, it was going to be at half 7 at the earliest (probs with a massive queue) and that was just a bit late for me when going home in a car with no roof or working lights....

I am a massive exception though, I was starving after the track session.

Completely agree. Dave was working tirelessly throughout the night so didn't get much chance to relax so definitely some more colleagues for him next year to take some of the strain (excuse my pun) away from him.

We were a bit limited as to where the sign could go. It couldn't be right up by the entrance to the track. Will definitely try and advertise the CS taxi service a bit more for next year. I thought that it worked ok considering it was a brand new aspect of the day.

We will try and put the name stickers in the packs for next year.

Points taken on all the above. Unfortunately there are 5 members of the admin team and we can only be in one place at a time. It would be great to have someone stood in the campsite all day telling people where to park and pitch their tents but it's not really how any of us really want to spend the day (we are also there to try and enjoy ourselves)

There were people turning up to camp from 8am until around midday on Saturday not to mention those arriving on Friday evening. That's why we tried to direct people where to park and camp as they entered the site.

I thought the camping this year was a damn sight more organised i.e. Tents pitched in rows than it's been in previous years.

I'll definitely look into getting some 'free to use' signs for the activities and the refreshments

The show and shine was advertised on the micro site www.cliosportfestival.net

Once again the logistics of running this are again limited due to the Admin team only being 5 strong. A photo shoot would have been great and I'll try and get that organised for next year.

We welcome any assistance on the day from members. @Owen was a massive help all weekend! Thank mate.

The caterers can only come and get set up to start serving food for around 7pm:7:30pm unfortunately.

I can confirm that the pizzas were well worth the wait.

As Dave has said, the camping area was MUCH more organised this year than it has been in the past

To be honest, there's nothing I would change. I'd personally like more people to get into the marquee at night and get involved with the band/drinking/dancing, but you can't force people and a lot are happy just chilling round a fire instead.

The pizzas were bloody lovely, but I think it took nearly half hour to get served and that's after waiting until around 9 o clock before getting in the queue.

I'm not moaning tho, as it's still one of my favourite weekends of the year. It's also a massive credit to this club! Superbly organised/run, and the people that attend are all good to be around

Bring on CSF18!

If i'm being honest, I preferred the pies last year than the pizzas, I thought they were tastier and they had the advantage of being able to prepared loads of them at once so the queue went down very quickly, there were just too many people for the pizza company to deal with, they did their best but by the time everyone was fed it was nearly 10pm, last year everyone had a pie and was in the beer tent before 8pm, I think that was the main reason it was a bit dead in there this year.

Yeah that's a completely valid point mate

Thanks for the feedback, both good and bad.

Some of the negative points are things the admin noticed, so it's good to have it echoed as they can be addressed easier next year.

And to echo the camping layout, it was much better than last year and thanks to all that listened to me to park in rows (which started with Marc, dan27070707, JP, Ali and crew). There were a few sporadically pitched tents but thanks to you lot it mainly stayed nice and organised.

I think we'll try and get markers for next year though

Good shout on an ale Company attending! We'll have to look into that.

The passenger pick up point and stickers will be better done next year, as dave said, it was a new feature we were trying and I didn't manage to get the stickers out until the afternoon. So apologies to those who missed them

Distinct lack of hookers.

I slow down for them. Apparently.

I am really happy to read all of the amazing comments this year :) I have been trying to get that pizza company since we first went to Blyton and finally this year I got lucky :) We will take on board comments.. and if we do use them again we will probably ask them to serve earlier so that there is more people in the beer tent earlier. But I do think because of the good weather more people were sat around their tents chilling out.

The food in the cafe was brilliant too... those ladies work their socks off serving everyone as quickly as they can every year for us.

I am a tiny bit shocked over comments about the camping site not being organised.. I thought it was perfect this year.. neat and tidy rows.. lots of space to walk about without tripping over ropes and much safer without all of the trailers in it. But I do think next year we could look at having a "quiet zone".

Do agree that we could advertise the free refreshments a bit better, I will get a sign made up for next year :) .. but any activities at the shows each year are always free to use.. I guess we just assume people know this as all of the information is on the website when booking.. but again we can look at some signs for next time.

The best bit about this year for me was meeting Stuart who was with the salvation army. We made his dreams come true by sending him out as a passenger with @Knuckles and also arranging it so that he could sit in all of the heritage cars :) All of the people with the charity were absolutely fantastic.. and the amount we raised was bigger than ever before. Great idea from @Sunglasses_Ron to support them this year. Thank you to everyone who fell for mine and Lucys charms and kept buying more and more tickets ;)

Oh brilliant! I didn't know he got to go out in a car, he was a proper sound lad.

He was indeed :) I felt privileged to have met him and his mum. He knows his cars thats for sure!

Javelin kindly signed him up as a passenger for free and he had the best time ever with @Knuckles
I had a word with Richard at Blyton and we are going to work together to arrange him a Super car experience day for next year too.

For me it was a brilliant weekend, going there on my own only knowing one or two faces i was pleasantly surprised as soon as i pulled up @Gus came straight over and made me feel very welcome and got me involved with all the lads. All weekend it was full of drink, cars, banter, (amazing) pizza and laughs. I've came away with a massive smile on my face a lot of new ideas for my car and made mates with some great people. Everyone made the effort to talk and i completely loved it. Thank you to everyone that sorted it out. I don't know what goes on behind the scenes but i think admin should be really pushing the area reps to advertise this more in our local meetings section, i know the site is smaller than it used to be but how good would it be if we could have twice as many people next year earning twice as much money for the charity! It was lovely to see the lads face when he got out of the v6! Amazing weekend and thank you

Well done to everyone. Gutted again I couldn't make it.

To see what it has become from the first incarnations is amazing. You guys deserve so much credit. Is there any admin still involved that was even at the first one?

Great weather. Awesome company and very, VERY well organised. We might need as well as a quiet zone a "Snorer's Corner" might be good so those of us who like to ensure no bears come to our caves do not piss everyone else off.

The pizza did take a while but well worth the wait. If you want a hand next year...you know where I am and can always involve Mandy as she would be willing to help out.

Echo the thoughts on the pizza, it took way to long. Pretty sure @HMS Derv Destroyer had been waiting in line for two hours before getting their pizza.

Should be something quick and simple so we can all eat and get pissed together like we did last year. Some people were still waiting to eat at 10pm. An onsite bar would of been great too.

Passenger pick up point...
I didn't even know where it was and I still had folk in the car every session some how. Maybe next time put it a little closer to the track entrance so people can que as the cars do?
It was an awesome idea and definetly needs repeating. More so as it was a great way of meeting people and allowing those that haven't been on track before to get involved. Maybe make it cheaper or free to entice a few more people?

Camping...
Free ear plugs in the entry pack maybe? Some of the snoring this year was f**king howling 😂
Who ever it was that gave me a set of ear plugs you're a star!
Maybe a big BBQ on the Friday night so everyone can break the ice and first time attendees can adjust to the sheer chaos that goes down?

All in all it was epic, again massive thanks to the staff/mods/admins for all the their efforts.

Fantastic. Nik and Brian sprang to mind sorry boosh. They must be over the moon seeing it now after the years of hard work.

I won't lie that organising the event can at times be quite stressful for all of us involved in its organising, but it's Saturday night once we can finally crack open a beer and these few days after the show that are the drug that makes us want to keep doing it. From the start it was always intended to be primarily a social event, and it's grown into more than we ever imagined over the last 7 years.

It's you guys that make the event though. We just create the environment for people to socialise and have a great time and every year we are blown away by how far people come and just throw themselves into it. Some people arrive not knowing anyone, never having camped in a tent before, but leave having had a great time, and probably formed some great friendships and memories / laughs that they will chuckle about until next years show. How can we not get a buzz from that!

.

Yeah was a while , getting on over an hour. Can't say it was a bad idea with the pizza stall. All for trying new stuff at events.

I'd like to see a ' JP anti snore zone ' area implemented next year
