Clio 182 RS192 exhaust help

  Clio 182, Megane 225
Having a failed attempt at lining up the exhaust myself, 6 months down the line the brand new standard mounts have gone already!

Does anyone know a local garage around West Yorkshire that will fit polybushed exhaust mounts and line it up for me?

Thoughts on decat too?

Mine does it, think bending the rear hangers would do it but just CBA. I've decatted mine but its a right pain to seal from the centre pipe to decat, had to weld mine up in the end.

Would you say decat is not worth having? Does it sound any better?

I also had trouble getting mine to seal properly. mine also clicks/ticks when backing off the throttle or accelerating sharply...think I need new engine mounts

I spent hours trying to line my RS 192 up right. I'm not sure it's possible 😂. I fitted a new centre section so had the whole lot off. You need to set the lh pipe right first and clamp it tight then fit the rh silencer and set that right. Then stand back and swear because it's still not how you want it!
Try going to an exhaust place or a local garage who may be willing to let you get under and help so you can say when your happy with it. Good luck.

How much did you pay for a new centre section mate? As mine is blowing like feck and needs replacing.

I have asked them before and they said basically they don't want anything to do with it

Really? That's surprising, he's basically always done anything I've asked for.

Could of been how I wrote it? Have they re-aligned and fitted decats for you before?

I may have got them mixed up with another company

They've not but they have welded up my olive joint and re aligned the exhaust etc. They'll also be welding in an extra hanger for me soon to take some weight out of the cat joint.

It is possible to get these on and lined up spot on. I fitted/ hung the back box first with new genuine mounts, lined up the tailpipes by adjusting on the mounts/ brackets, then slid/ rotated the centre box/ pipe straight (found this wanted to twist because location of mount on centre box) before clamping them together. Have had it on for 18 months now and hasnt budged.
