Treated it to some autobrite products after a blast wales and back yesterday. It's been nice having a weekend not fixing things and just enjoying it.

Stared at it in utter disbelief.

We have a mass of trees and plants (that our chairman insists all sites have) that s**t out the most aggressive sap you ever did see. Honestly never seen anything g like it. Looks like someone has shot my car with a paint ball gun.
Now my car is a £500 banger, bit it sits alongside brand new £100,000 cars so you can imagine what they look like. And with the heat we've had lately, it's just eating in to the paint like nothing else. It's painful to see.

So this time next week I will be quoting this post in TIDL and adding "cleaning this b*****d sap off my car"

Haven't actually updated this for a while!
Went to get a hand trying out my TPI stud today, seems like the bulge used to screw them in won't fit through the hole in the wheels, so going to try skimming down the bulge a bit.

Since the last update, over the last 1-2 weeks I've had this done:

Sprint Booster V3

Eibach 20mm spacers (x4)
New front shocks
H&R 30mm springs
Yokohama AD08R's on the front

New near rear side caliper
M1144 Brake pads
HEL Braided lines and new brake fluid
New gearbox driveshaft seal and new oil

Door shut rubber replaced
Aircon recharge
New foot pedals and added foot rest from @andy_con
New floor mats
New reg plates

What's the sprint booster like ? Is it worth the money?

What's the sprint booster like ? Is it worth the money?

I made a reply about it on 197.net, but I'll put down here what I did over there:

I've had mine fitted for a week now and I think they're a great bit of kit, only really used it on 'sport' mode so far.
The throttle pickup is great, had to adjust to it as it's a bit more sensitive, but the instant pickup when planting it for the likes of an overtake is really noticeable. The car feels like how an NA car should, it felt laggy before.

My main reason for getting one was the poor throttle response of the Clio 200, I had a Megane 250 before it, and used to have no issues with rev matching and heel/toe in that car, it felt very natural. The Clio I feel like I have to proper smash the pedal for rev matching, and I literally stopped doing heel/toe as it felt like effort to be delicate with the brake and then try smash the accelerator with my heel.
With the sprint booster fitted it's just a small tap I need, much like how the Megane was.

IMO, worth it, so many argue about it but basically what I see is, you've tried it and love it, or you haven't and bash it.

Fitted Eibach Sportlines and some 15" OZ F1's yesterday.

Went for an early morning drive over Snake pass with my mate on his Ninja this morning, car feels 100x better now compared to before with standard springs and 17" pro race 1.2's.
Just need to get the wheels refurbed now and get some spacers.

Gave it an oil change, was 8k/1yr but I think I will start doing it more regularly from now on.

Nothing, but it has done a cracking job of denting my savings account.
Cambelt and new dephaser pulley
Aux belt and new tensioner
Water pump
Plugs
Coolant
New synth oil and OE filter
Brake flush and new fluid with new front pads and pins
Cabin and air filters
Airbag light deleted with Clip
Polybush upper and lower engine mounts
Throttle body cleaned with new clips and other assorted sh*t

I've also ordered new rear discs (because I ordered the wrong ones originally like a mong) and a replacement rear brake line. It looks like Renault have dropped the wheel on top of the line which has kinked it. Great. Should be going in next week for those last few bits.

F*ck cars.

Finally received my air conditioning condenser and receiver/dryer, ready to be fitted next week. Of course the condenser did fail on the hottest week of the year.
Strangely, the receiver/dryer doesn't come with the bracket that bolts it to the condenser. I just hope I can re-use the old bracket.

  Renault Clio V6 255
Today I bought my (new to me) Clio V6 a cambelt, auxiliary belt tensioner and idler pulley, water pump and seal, coolant, air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, rear brake pads, spark plugs, 5w/40 fully synthetic oil, aircon regas and a brand new set of Michelin Pilot tyres.

All works completed my Mark Fish Motorsport.

Ouch.

That should be it for a while.

Booked it in for yet more service work. Ordered polybushes. Found my braided lines in the garage underneath a box of PS2 games.
