My second Clio has gone horribly down hill...

So I've had my second clio for... 10 days and it's gone down hill completely.
I've spent a fair whack on some goodies for it, today fitting a polybush engine mount insert I found the cambelt contaminated with oil and residue everywhere...

I knew it had an oil leak but didn't think it was from there, it had a full top end rebuild 10 months ago so hopefully I can take it back for the garage that did it.

The main issue is I'm not sure if I'd trust them to do the work even if they offered.
I'm not sure where I stand with not being the owner when the work was done. The cambelt kit and such were customer supplied so arnt covered under warranty, id have though sealing would be a Labour issue.

Anyhow, opinions on where I stand would be great.

Bummer...

I don't think your get anywhere with the garage when part were supplied by the last owner, if it was my car is would take it to a specialist to sort this out and bite the bullet

Booked it in at Gary Burnetts in Warrington to get checked and belts replaced. Thinking it's the crank oil seal now

I wouldn't say it's terribly downhill - I'd say it's the joys of owning a used car.

Could be the camshaft seals too, especially if the cover has been off to be resealed.
They said the same at Burnetts but I've had the engine mount off to fit a polybush mount and it's nowhere near as damp in that area. Either way they're having a look and sorting whatever it is.

On another note one of the engine mount bolts has completely stripped the thread in the block

When I had my belts done last year the old one was covered in oil. Had sheared a bolt off of the oil pump drive or something.

Is it one of the bolts that screws into the cam cover though?

You can get away with just replacing the upper cambelt cover in that case - shouldn't be any more than £10 - £15 off a breaker.
