Get one without airmatic. I've just had a strut go on my CLS. Aside from a faulty exhaust sensor and a faulty driver window regulator it's going great. The e320 cdi also need turbo seals changed quite often to protect the inlet flaps from oil leaks in the middle of the engine V.

I've owned an e36 3.0, an e46 m3 and currently have an E34 touring with a 3.2 evo engine fitted and also an Estoril blue evo m3 coupe. I prefer the 3.2 evo engines out of them all, although I loved the rasp from the e46.

I know if the other insurance company repair it, it will not have a category maker however eagle eyed buyers will notice repairs, paint matching/blown into panels.

Maybe better to have it written off so you can buy another? Could be ballache if/when you ever try to sell the car in future.
