+1 Remember when some bint said the same thing to me when she crashed into the back of my 306 in stationary traffic, totally forgetting the fact she had been following me for the past 5 or 6 miles going up to a ton at times, she had no braking problems then lol.

I'm no mechanic but maybe whoever did the job for you overtightened the nut thus drastically shortening the lifespan of the bearing, so it overheated and seized. I wouldn't take it back there again when you sort it out

Are these a problem generally? Have been getting quotes for the dreaded cambelt/aux belt change and on other cars I have owned in the past I have always done the water pump at that same time due to the fact you remove the same bits to do both jobs so to save money in the long run I get the pump...
