i can understand it causing a slight pull but not a violent pull to the right under acceleration, and it still doesnt explain the creak on the steering and the aquaplaning feeling, plus as i say its intermitent, some times there seems to be a slight pull to the left rather than the violent pull...

its a part worn tyre with about 5mm left on it, the other front tyre has a little less but still well legal

this was on ebay and it says its for the clio 172, do the clios have this system?

could anyone tell me what the cylinder shape thing is on this, as far as i can make out it looks like its behind the steering wheel, would my car have this on, what is it and whats it do lol

i have done a fluid change on the steering and the problem is still there, the steering is now a lot lighter tho i was having a look on ebay and found the column but there is a motor of some sort on it by the look of it, what is it for and could it be causing the steering to slip to the...

im a little skint at the min so im goin to try and sort the cheapest jobs and see whats what after that, i just cant afford a new tensioner (lost my job a few months ago) so im gonna have to try and find the money for that then sort the leak and fluid then take it from there.

forgot to mention, there doesnt seem to be any play in the steering while driving, it seems fine apart from sometimes it pulls to the right and then another time it pulls to the left

I will try and explain the best i can, 3 - 4 months ago me and my brother changed my gearbox after about a month i started to notice my steering wheel wasnt lining back up strait while driving in a strait line, sometimes its slightly out to the right and sometimes the left, this got a lot worse...

i bought my 172 in febuary having 84k on the clock, its just hit 105k, my old 2.0 ide megane i managed almost 40k in 12 months, most of my miles are all pleasure driving aswell, i very often do 300-400 miles over a weekend.

ahhh that makes sense now, but the dial thing doesnt do anything, would this be a problem with the dial on the stalk or is it a sensor problem?
