    So my cup had a full cambelt, dephaser etc. change done in 2018 by diamond motors The car has since done less than 10k miles Reckon I could just get away with an aux belt change? Saves travelling miles to a specialist as I’m in deepest darkest cornwall

    Sorry to hijack thread but it’s sort of relevant. I am also currently in the market for a 1*2 and at first I wanted a 172 cup. However the more I read, the more horror stories there are about the cup not having abs and you’re basically going to end up in a ditch. true or just over exaggerated?

    Wanted to update this in case anyone was interested of the outcome or if anybody searches in the future. Gave up searching and got the garage to recover the car, turned out to be a broken wire in the loom. The one for the fuel pump to be exact. Also need a new alternator, but wether or not...

    Yeah someone else suggested wiggling the wiring and I did but still wouldn't start. Just continually cranked and showed the heartbeat symbol

    I have read a lot that it could be the TDC sensor and possibly something to do with the wiring. Isn't there a way to test it? Or clean it off I seem to remember reading
