My dirty Meglio.I drive 800yards, up a Forestry track, to get to a single track road, so gets dirty in around 800 yards!. Been faultless on Road/Track this year, more track days in September.

I have also joined the club. Not sure how long I'll keep it. Was in need of a car as my daily is knackered. Body is pretty good, interior needs a good clean and driver's seat isn't great. Sounds like it has a stainless too, but need to work out what it is.

Circumstances might mean it's not a long term fixture but, if I do get to keep it, it will get lowered/wheel refurb/spacers/spoiler.

Picking it up at the weekend hopefully.

Just brought this little beauty as a project car for now and want to restore it because it's had no love previously.
How do i know what it should have the wheels and bumpers painted? I see most 09<onwards with the middle of the bumper black and not grey.

It’s got the wrong wheels on it. They’re off the 197 I think.

Other than that mate it looks lovely and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress.

Start a project thread 👍

The grey is the anthracite pack. Front bumper, rear diffuser and wing mirrors.
You could get those wheels on a 200 but very rare to find.

The 197 wheels are much better looking than the 200 ones, maybe not in that finish though 😂. The grey and yellow looks good imo and I think the wheels in a matching grey would look good too.

Sorry but you are definitely wrong. The 200 speedlines are infinitely better than the 197 ones 😘

Ooof did you know it was in need of investment whe you bought it? They do look great in ultra red though 😂.

Not all of it, no. The first £500 I knew about, as I knew it needed timing belt and dephaser. But apart from that, it looked decent, drove well and showed no error codes But on the way to get the belts done, it got an ABS warning. Turned out the backing plate was shot, the sensor had been hanging around, knocking into the rear wheel bearing or something, which meant replacing the discs and pads too.

Turns out there is also a VERY slight crunch between 2nd and 3rd if your booting it too. So that will need looked at somewhere down the line. In the meantime, I have bought some high quality gearbox fluid, so hopefully that helps until the bank account recovers enough.

I did have a bit of money set aside for a new steering wheel and gearknob retrim. But that's obviously for down the road now. As is the Recaro retrim / bolster repairs.

Anyway, not driven her since picking her up really, apart from taking her to the specialist. And am picking her back up today. Hopefully now I can drive it, I'll forgive it all this expense, ha ha.

Bleed the clutch when you change the box oil - trust me, it’ll help as that fluid in the clutch circuit will have never been changed since it was filled at the factory! Clutch drag is one of the biggest killers in these gearboxes.
Oh and redline mtl, or redline mt90 is THE best oil for these boxes. 👍🏻

Only money pits if you don't know what you should be looking for. No excuse really as the information is out there and not very hard to find.

In reply to your gearbox issue I have a similar issue in 4th crunching, do you or anyone here know someone who can do refurb's that aren't a total rip off at £400+
