My BG Clio 182

So picked this up yesterday!

Needs some attention on a few areas, which I plan to tackle today and over the coming weeks.

Remove tints
Sort exhaust alignment
Remove dent in drivers 3/4 panel
Remove pressed plates for some fancy plates.
The list goes on!

Love this car. Very little on it that needs attention, an afternoon will have it in near perfect condition. It drives fantastically, alignment is spot on, brakes are strong, engine timing is spot on, pulls exactly as a 182 should and delivers high mpg when doing 70mph - averaged 45 over 3 hours. No smoke at all when pushing hard.
Had a lot of fun looking at a few cars and this one was by far the best.

Thankyou Gus, for ferrying me about and inspecting cars for me! It's a learning curve for me!

Today I spent a few hours swapping bits from the 1.72 to the 182; as follows:

Remove v6 airbox and fit KTEC
Swap Aliminium footrest
Swap RenaultSport mats
Swap Silvervisions
Swap rear plate housing and bulb
Swap batteries
Turinis on 182
Swap stereos
Swap wipers

I'm unable to drive it as my insurance company are shut on Sunday's, so will sort that tomorrow!

I gave it a quick going over with snowfoam.

Got extremely sunburnt in the process but oh well!

So first thing I wanted to do for my own peice of mind was a full service so with @optical 's help, we set about doing the following:

13-05-2016 100614.jpg

Engine Oil Change
Gearbox Oil Change
VVT Seal replaced, as we suspected this is what was leaking oil onto the rocker cover.

Also decided to fit some Trendlines:

Fitted a Powerflex Purple Dogbone mount:

As you can see, I went to town cleaning up the rocker cover and touch wood it's stayed spotless since.

Fitted a KTEC Induction kit a while ago:

I plan to paint the calipers Yellow. Not to everyones taste, but my KTEC is yellow, and I plan on a Yellow Snappy wheel at some point so it made sense.

While doing the service we noticed that the Rear left shock was leaking badly, luckily @Steven103 saved the day with a spare set of rear shocks!

Lastly, I went and took a few pictures of a dirty car having just done an hour on the motorway but I am so happy with how it looks I couldn't resist!

Still a fair bit to do;

PDR man booked to take the car away for dent removal and a few scratch repairs
Remove tints when I can be bothered
Fancy plates are on order and should be here any day. They'll go straight on.

  330i. E30 Touring.
Not sure as the markings have worn off. They're red so assume Eibach Sportlines?

May refresh springs at some point.

From how they're all bunched up, pretty sure they're not sportlines. I could be wrong, and it's a very quick/cheap thing to change/improve. :)

  Fiesta ST
I'd have kept mine if it had trendlines in I reckon.

Reading CS at work makes me want to sell my ST and get a 182 and make it mint.

  Astra H 1.8 SRi
Them seats look amazing! What are they out of, the Trophies came with them right?
This car is pretty much exactly how I'd have mine.

They are Recaro Trendlines, the same as those that come in a Trophy, however the ones in the Trophy are half alacantra, half leather.

These are out of a Megane with the Lux pack, full leather.

Still a lot to do on this car, watch this space!

They are 100% Vmaxx rear springs, just without the adjusters and standard shocks instead.

Glad your happy with it mate. Can see this project getting expensive for you!
