For you that dont know, i bought a Clio Williams with a Knackered box and so posted a forum lookin for recomended gearbox rebuilders. I emailed all of them, and here is what they said;
K-tec racing;
I am afraid we do not rebuild gearboxes. A new one will cost around
#550+vat from Renault.

Gearboxs can be rebuilt, but the problem is that unless everything is changed some other part may fail at a later date, we have found that the best route to take is to purchase a Genuine Renault exchange gearbox.
And Prima Racing;
A standard Clio williams gearbox re-build is around £450.00 + VAT. This is supplied with a 12 month - 12,000 mile warranty.
So Renault it is then, as they are cheaper for a reconditioned unit and also they are only 12 miles away.
