Someone is sending imessages using other peoples numbers?!!

So someone at the misses work is having a bit of a laugh by sending imessages to people from other peoples numbers?!

For example, she would get a message from her work mate opposite, but she never sent the message?! In actual fact her phone was not even active! We found out he is somehow sending these messages from his iPhone but they are coming up as coming from someone else?!

iMessages can be sent from an email address as well as a mobile number.

I would suggest they changed their Apple ID password and any other services that use that same password.

I'm not sure how they've done that, thats an odd one. See if changing their password as said sorts it. If not, report it to Apple.

He is only doing it for a laugh, but its frustrating how he has done it. At first we thought he must have taken peoples phones but he is either doing it from his iPhone or a pc somehow.

I'm sure on radio 1 a few months ago they were talking about an app that allowed you to call people, using someone's number that you both have ... If that makes sense?


(So john and judy both have Sarah's number saved, the app allows john to call judy, but Sarah's name shows on the screen)

id have to do some searching, but I'm 99% sure a forum member made that service. its awesome, ive used it lots in the past
