Replacing Sunroof Seal?

  Clio Dynamique 16v
Noticed a small amount of water on my driver seat this morning

It really rained had last night and I think the water came through the sunroof

Mine is a mk2 ph2 dynamique with the standard pop open sunroof

I've taken the glass out, cleaned it and the seal best I can

Can I change the rubber seal, anyone know how much for a new one?

Do I have drainage holes, if so how do I clear them (if they're blocked)

Cheers, Jon

Yes now these are a common problem on the non sport models sadly. I think that you can literally remove the rubber and replace it, as I have taken mine off before, although not recently!

i took mine off and i now use the good old vaseline as a temporary seal untill i find something that is a bit more substantual and that actually works. Vaseline does the trick mate honestly but wouldnt use it as a long term thing

and where abouts do you put the vaseline? around the top of the seal on the outside of the car?

i did it dude,

pop off your a pillars, sunvisors, lean handles, etc. pull front part of roof down. romove what feels like 100 bolts. the seal is pretty obvious. scraped it off with a chissle. I bought some strip window sealent from b&q (comes on a roll for like 3.99). replaced it making sure no overlap then put it back on. it sits a max of 1mm higher, due to depth of the sealing strip but it is 100% water tight. I can get some pics if you want.
