Reinstalling iTunes

My laptop needs to go in for repair, regardless of the problem the first thing they usually do is wipe it. If this happens, when I come to reinstall iTunes will it wipe my phone when I first sync with it? A mate of mine recently had a similar situation and I'm sure he said he lost everything from his phone.

You will have to authorise the new Itunes install to work with your iphone. I think the max is 5 computers at one time. Just go to the store tab in itunes then click authorise computer and enter your itunes username/password.

If you can, try back up the itunes folder in My Documents/My Music/ all your files should be in there.
