Problem Starting My Clio

Hi, Ive got a Clio 172 and sometimes it wont start with the first turn of the key, it always starts when I try it a second time, does anyone else have this problem and know what to do about it, so I know what to tell the garage when I take it there.

TDC sensor or Immobilser decoder ring, it was the latter for mine.

yup,same for me-immobiliser ring thing! done on warranty IIRC.

Im having this problem on my mk 1, turn the key once and the light in the middle flashes, then turn it off and on again and it is stays on to let me start the engine.

Sometimes if its being a git, it takes a few goes of locking/unlocking the car, and messing around. Any ideas how much it costs to get this sorted? as the car is out of warranty.

Or is there anyway I can do this myself.

Could be that the Crankshaft sensor is going,thats what was up with my clio when it wouldnt start
