I'm thinking I'm going to take it down to the Renault garage to see what they think, I'm just terrified of the bill lol!
The difference between a Specialist Renault Dealer and a Renaultsport Specialist is that the latter know what their doing, but dont charge the earth!

They occasionally stick, but that's down to dirty oil or silicone usually. Pop it apart and clean and it'll go again.
Havent got round to ringing you yet although I will get on it.. The mechanic I normally use (not the one that did the job) is trying to think of anything else it could be before I go spending loads getting the whole job done again. Do you think maybe the timing could've been set slightly wrong? This is another thing he has suggested.

The guys suggested with look and listen to you car and pretty much know the score.. They can check your timing in minutes if they pop out your cam seals and lock the engine off.. They might charge a few quid but you'll know in 10 minutes exactly where you stand..

This is the option you should take.. Any other will just see you burning money.

Timing is a possibility, but that won't cause a noise unless it's very bad. But it'll also be all the time.
I'm still unsure if it's all the time or not really to be honest.. The noise IS quiet but it's definitely there. Also don't know if you read all the way up but the EML came on with a code for the knock sensor about 2 weeks ago. Cleared the code and it's not reappeared. Originally thought this was because I put 20 sheets of tesco fuel in it, but doing some more research today and see this could be to do with timing?? The boyfriend said from the first day I got the car back he thought the timing was out - I didn't think much of it because I don't think it's the sort of thing I'd notice!

Yep I'm going to get them to check it although they can't fit me in today and I didn't think to ask if it's OK to drive? I'm sure they would of said don't drive it if it wasn't...
