need help

plugged in my ipod touch today and got offered a update so clicked on it now ipod just gets stuck on a screen showing usb cable and itunes logo.

If u connect the ipod it wont show up on itunes so i cant restore it plus iv tried all the resetting things ie. holding sleep button and trying to run it in recovery mode. anyone able to help me?

Turn off any antivirus etc.

Plug it in, hold both buttons until it resets, not just turns off. That will work, just might be first time.
